Welcome to the Ultimate Coffee Date Mother’s Day Edition! Coco, Lynda and I are so glad that you are joining us to catch up and enjoy a cup of your favorite beverage.

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you…I am so happy to have both of my kids (and my husband) home together for Mother’s Day. My daughter finished her finals and flew home last night. It will be great to all be together.

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you..I feel pretty darn accomplished to have run a total of 18.4 miles during our American Odyssey relay last weekend. The most I’ve ever run! It took a few days to recover from the no sleep but I am still on a runner’s high. Loved my team mates!

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you…I am doing a charity bike event today called Tour De Cookie. I am excited to get some good mileage in today on my bike and also taste all the yummy cookies that are going to be handed out. I do bike for chocolate.

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you…I’d like to wish all the fabulous moms and women in my life a very Happy Mother’s Day! Hope you all have wonderful, relaxing day.

Any big plans for Mother’s Day?

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Our big local women’s race is by a local cookie company. Actually, they’re available throughout the northeast. I used to demolish an entire box on my own as a kid, but now they just don’t taste as good — you do get a free box when you run the race! And other free food.

I’m not signed up, although I will be home this year (often we’re away). But I’ll just be getting back from a trip and May was a really busy month (or will be, when all is said & done).

Enjoy your ride, your cookies, and your family.

    Happy Mother’s Day!

Thanks the cookies were a nice touch today. All homemade by local groups and it was fun to see them out there.

Congrats to your daughter on finishing her finals….what a lovely mother’s day to have everyone home 😉
