    • Wow what a month June was! I don’t even know where to start. So glad that you are here for our monthly Ultimate Coffee Date link up with Coco and Lynda. Pull up a chair and your favorite mug and lets catch up.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…Happy 4th of July! Today is a great day to remember how amazing our country really is.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…June was such a blur! We started with my daughter’s High School graduation which was an emotional roller coaster. You’ve heard the saying “long days and short years” but it’s so true. How did I end up with an 18 year old?! So proud of my baby!
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…We then had a blast celebrating at her graduation party with friends and family.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you….We left that next morning and spent 2 weeks in Hawaii. First we headed to Maui which was breathtakingly gorgeous.
    • I did a little running along this beach path, lots of sitting around the pool and reading and lots of swimming in this amazing pool.
    • I even tried a scuba diving class in the pool. Yup not for me! I think I will stick to swimming on the top of the water. I got a little too nervous and didn’t really trust the breathing.
    • One of the highlights was biking down Haleakala after watching the sunrise. If you missed my post with all the pics you can see it here.
    • We finished up our trip in Oahu with a visit to Pearl Harbor which is so tastefully and creatively done. Then spent a few days boogie boarding and taking a surfing class. That I loved! There is a definite learning curve but I did manage to get up twice.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…There is no way that July can top the June I’ve had! Lots of great family bonding and lots of laughs.
  • Wow I’ve been very chit chatty today! If we were having coffee what would you tell me??

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

So much fun this past month Deborah. I remember when our oldest graduated high school {so many emotions}. Now he is 24 and is getting into the EMT field. Maui is the most favorite of the {few} islands I have visited. Looking forward to hopefully heading back end of this year or will have to wait until next Spring. Happy 4th 🙂

Happy 4th! What a month for you! and what fun celebrations! Yes you will have a hard time topping that! I took my kids to Jamaica once and my son and I went to the scuba class, I could not do it! I cannot make myself breathe underwater! UGG, luckily my son was still under 18 so I got to finish the day trip anyway and watch him dive. I hope you have a great weekend!

Love it! Your family looks like you’ve had a lovely time. I did scuba diving as an excursion on a cruise trip, and we started in the pool. It was really difficult then but much easier when we were actually in the water!

Happy 4th of July, and congrats to your daughter for graduating! 😛 She looks completely ecstatic, hahaha.

I’m so jealous that you got to go to Hawai’i! *-* I kindasorta want to make that a graduation present to myself when I get out of med school, but depending on where I end up, I might just want to get the chance to spend more time with my friends/family.
