    • Hello December! Wow can’t believe it’s time for the last Ultimate Coffee Date of the year. These Coffee Date posts have become some of my favorites to write and read. Please join me and my lovely co hosts Coco & Lynda as we share our coffee with you all today. I have so much to tell you today so lets grab our mugs.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…Tomorrow is the Jingle All The Way 5k race that I have been training my husband for. We have faced some challenges the past few weeks so it should be very interesting tomorrow. My son is running it as well and he is determined to beat me. Stay tuned for a full recap next week.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you...After a conservative spring and summer of running, I feel like I finally have my running mojo back. My foot is not hurting anymore (yay) and I’ve been adding back in miles and races. November was my highest mileage month this year so far. I did 3 10k’s and 3 5ks the last 5 weeks and I am loving it all. Not breaking any records yet but so happy running more and really optimistic for 2016. Right in time for winter right?
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I have mentioned before that I am not a scale person. We had a long, complicated love/hate relationship for many many years. My husband, however, has been using this new Beets Blu Smartphone compatible scale and loves it. I received it in exchange for a review and he took it over. It has a compatible app that stores all of your info and uploads it wirelessly. I love the sleek look of it too. If you are looking for a new one for the holidays, check it out.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I have a crazy, busy few weeks coming up. We are headed to Vegas next week to celebrate my husband’s big 5-0 birthday with a bunch of friends. Stay tuned for details and pictures should be lots of fun. When you have a blog, what happens in Vegas might not stay in Vegas.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you...We had our MRTT Holiday Party last night. It’s always so fun to see everyone out of their running clothes and gussied up. We clean up well don’t you think? Love these ladies!
  • I’ve been chatting away this whole time! If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

It is great that your foot is doing so much better! I have a decent bunion on one foot and it flares up from time to time…and it makes me nervous with training for a much longer distance than I am used to!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      12/05/2015 at 9:04 am

I hate it when the feet don’t cooperate don’t you!? I am slowly ramping back up carefully

I didn’t realize Jingle all the Way had been shortened from the 8K course. Fun! I always loved that event. Good luck to you and your husband. The MRTT event looks fun. I still miss that. Our chapter just isn’t very active up here and I don’t really have the time to try to get more involved. Enjoy your coffee!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      12/05/2015 at 9:13 am

I liked it better as an 8k too but oh well I guess it’s more inclusive that way. Looking forward to it though
