Ultimate Coffee Date-April

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you…I am running the Cherry Blossom 10 miler tomorrow morning. I am kind of nervous as this is my longest race in a while and since all those pesky foot issues. It doesn’t really help that we now have freeze warnings and predicted 40 mph winds. Hey no problem right? Coco is running it with me too-well not actually with but near-she is super speedy.

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you...I have really been enjoying coaching my girls on the run team the past few weeks. I have 6th grade girls again and the day they actually asked me if they could run longer. So happy that they are so enthusiastic and I can’t wait to see them all crush the 5k next month. We also incorporate strength training into our lessons and had lots of fun with this group “superwomen”.

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you…Is is just me or is “coffee” even more popular than ever these days? It seems like there are so many funny coffee posts floating around. I love this one:

Not to mention all the cute t shirts:

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you…I just realized that my April is busier than ever! My American Odyssey race is quickly approaching. American Odyssey is similar to Ragnar and this course will start in Gettysburg, PA should be a beautiful place to run. More on that soon! I also realized that my first triathlon race of the season is quickly approaching. Someone needs to get on their bike huh?

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you…this was my most favorite picture from this month. I had a blast taking this aerial yoga class at  Canyon Ranch and I’d love to try it again.

I had a great good night sleep last night, I’ve got my coffee cup full and I am excited to hear about what everyone else is up to today.

If we were having coffee today, what would you tell me?

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Good luck for your race tomorrow! I hope the weather is kind to you! I would tell you that we are off to a race circuit today (kind of like a British version of NASCAR). It’s our first weekend away this year so fingers crossed for nice weather here too.

      That sounds fun too!

Have a great race today! Freeze — heck, that’s nothing. It’s supposed to SNOW for my race tomorrow. AND be windy. I’m guessing it won’t be a PR. and then I need to run another 5 miles afterward!

Gettysburg is beautiful. I ran a half there. Heck, I think most of PA is beautiful! But we’d never been to Gettysburg before my half. I think by the time I’m done, we’ll say that about a lot of places!

Ok you have me beat on the weather front! Good luck tomorrow too may the wind be at both of our backs

Wait what 4pmph winds!!! I hope there are still so Cherry Blossoms left.

I was suppose to do the American Odyssey but the girl that initially invited me never got it together. Maybe next year.

Aerial yoga looks so much fun! And you look super relaxed for being upside down. Sending you lots of healthy vibes for the Cherry Blossom tomorrow. It’s intimidating, but I’m sure you will be just fine! Just think of what you are capable of once you cross that finish line, right!?

Good luck tomorrow at Cherry Blossom! Don’t forget to pre-fuel with coffee! I’m looking forward to the recap.

I hope you had a wonderful race and no issues with your foot! I do think coffee is so much more of a trend with the younger set than it was years ago. I’ve been addicted for over 30 years. What can I say? It has got to be so rewarding to be working with Girls on the Run. I love that they wanted to run more! Thanks for the linkup.
