Time For Some April 2023 Runfessions and Confessions

This past month felt like so much happened while at eh same time, nothing happened. It’s time for those April Runfessions and I’ve got a few to share today.

Runfessions

Time For Some April Runfessions and Confessions

I Runfess and confess..

While recovering from Covid last week, I literally watched a ridiculous amount of TV. Some good and some not so good. My husband was away the entire time (lucky for him) so he did not get it from me.

The not so good:

Love is Blind season 4- Seriously, what an absurd show! My daughter got me sucked into this! Love is definitely not blind and the entire premise of this show is utterly ridiculous. None the less, I became completely engrossed in the characters (many of whom should be embarrassed by their behavior) and watched the entire season. It’s like a train wreck-I just couldn’t stop!

Runfessions

The good shows:

“the last thing he told me” on Apple TV. This new thriller series with Jennifer Garner is very similar to the book that was popular last year.

The new and final season of “Mrs Maisel” has been really good so far.

This weekend I plan to watch the “Fatal Attraction” remake on Paramount and “The Diplomat” on Netflix. I had to wait for my husband to be home for those. Do you have specific shows you watch with your spouse and some you watch alone?

I Runfess and Confess…

While I was binge watching all the tv last weekend, I was also online shopping for decor items for our new screened in porch. It is about 90% finished and we are very excited about it. Hopefully, I will have some pics to share in time for the Ultimate Coffee Date next weekend.

I also Runfess and Confess…

Runfessions

Task Rabbit is so handy! I had a few of our furniture items arrive with “assembly required” which is not one of my talents. I hired a Task Rabbit guy to come put a few things together in the garage last week. Whenever I try to do it myself it takes me hours and it never comes out right! I know my limitations! We have used the app before for different home projects with good success.

That’s about all I have for my  April Runfessions today! Have a great weekend.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Not much time for TV. But I do need to binge watch firefly lane.

Glad you’re done with COvid. I just got my booster.

I did like Firefly lane and it looks like another season will be in the works

Luckily everything I watched I enjoyed! And yes, some things I watch on my own, some with my husband. The Diplomat is on my watchlist. 🙂

My husband is GREAT at putting things together. In fact I recently bought something that needed assembly & I insisted he do it. I can do it, but it would take me hours to his like 10 minutes.

I’ve had people recommend Love is Blind but I tried and couldn’t do it. I agree Mrs Maisel is good so far. We’re finishing up Beef and that has been exciting in a weird way. I need to check out Task Rabbit. Sounds so handy. Can’t wait to see the new porch!

Task Rabbit is the best app for little things you need to get done and don’t want to do yourself

I don’t watch much TV… well, I should amend that by saying I”ll frequently have on old episodes of Spring Baking Championship while I’m doing other things (which drives my husband nuts) but I never sit down to really focus on a series. I know there are some incredible shows now, and I’m missing out. And when I say “incredible shows” I DON’T mean Love is Blind, ha ha. The premise of that show alone makes me roll my eyes violently. But, I get it- sometimes it’s fun to watch something completely dumb- I’ve done it!
    Glad you’re feeling better!

I sure did get my fill of dumb tv!

We watched the first season of Love is Blind during the outbreak of Covid. Like you said, it was a total train wreck that we couldn’t look away from…though we didn’t watch any of the subsequent seasons. I’m glad you’re feeling better after your Covid situation last week.

I also watched the first season back then and swore I would never waste my brain cells again! LOL

Did you watch Beef on Netflix?? OMG–best thing I’ve watched all year. We’re watching Barry and Ted Lasso. I agree with you on Mrs Maisel. It’s really good this year. I have to try The Last Thing He Told Me.

    Glad you’re feeling better!

As if my carpenter hubs would let me hire someone to do things that he can do. If only he would do them!!!!

Lol getting them to do things is not always easy! Threatening to hire someone else to do them works well 🙂 I have not watched Beef yet-could not decide if it was weird or not

With teams in the playoffs for both hockey and basketball, sports is on non-stop in my house so my watch list is growing. I liked the book The Last Thing He Told Me so I’ll have to add that one to my list.

Looking forward to seeing your new porch decor.

It is very similar to the book so far I think you will enjoy it

Wednesday and Lupin are two I watch with MOm & Bob but otherwise we DIY and chat about them.
Yay on Task Rabbit. We have a local version, Handy, which I love for the same reasons.
