Are you a runner looking to enhance your post workout stretch routine? Are you a Peloton user who has no idea where to start with the yoga content? Don’t worry! I’ve got you. Peloton has a huge and diverse collection of yoga classes for all levels however, they do not have any specifically listed as yoga for runners. I’ve sorted out a few of my favorite yoga classes for runners to share with you. This post contains affiliate links.
Best Peloton Yoga Classes For Runners
Diving into all of the yoga content on Peloton can be overwhelming. While the filter option allows you to narrow down some of the class types, there is no current way to filter out classes for runners. Why do runners want to take yoga classes? Running can lead to tightness of the very muscles we use for running (think quads, hamstrings, calves). Many simple yoga poses aim to target just those muscles. Adding some yoga to your post-workout routine should be a no-brainer.
Peloton makes it easy to add short, targeted “focus flow” classes to your routine. I’ve picked out a few of my go-to post-run classes that can enhance and elevate your recovery. These classes are found under the “Focus Flow” filter of the Yoga class section. I have also included links to each class.
Classes For Hips
Happy hips happy runner-or so the saying goes. The hips don’t lie and if yours are tight, running can feel not so good. Check out my top picks targeting your hips.
Denis’ 10 minute Yoga for hips is a gift to your body and one of my most taken yoga classes.
Kristin McGee knows a thing or two about yoga and her 10 min yoga for hips is suitable for all levels. Cow Face anyone?
Looking for a little bit a longer class? Chelsea Roberts will put your mind and your body in a much more relaxed state. Her 20 minute yoga for hips is a must-try.
Classes For Hamstrings
If you run hills, your hamstrings may be screaming for a little post-run love. In Kristin McGee’s 10-Minute Yoga Flow for Hamstrings, she uses a yoga strap to assist in targeting those muscles. Note: you can also use a bathrobe belt if you don’t have a yoga strap.
An oldie but always a good one. This 10-minute Yoga Flow For Hamstrings from Denis helps to stretch and strengthen in an easy-to-follow class for all levels.
Yoga Classes For Quads
Kristin McGee eases you into stretching out your quads and hip flexors in ways you never thought possible with this 10 Minute Focus Flow for Quads.
Anna Greenberg offers up another option for a 10-minute focus flow for quads in this highly rated class.
I cannot guarantee that taking these yoga for runners classes will help you find your inner yogi. I do believe they will offer you a new way to stretch your mind and body after your runs. Please let me know your favorites too!

This is awesome. Peloton has so many classes. I’m glad to see your recommendations. Of course now I have to try some. But thanks for sharing.
You might be surprised how you feel after just a 10 minute yoga post run
Did you write this post just for me? Ha ha… I’m a Peloton yoga fanatic these days. I’ve been doing a lot of the power classes, but some of my muscles are insanely tight. I’m going to take your recommendation for a hamstring focus flow… Denis and I have a date after work today!
Yes I did lol. I am so glad you are such a Peloton fan it’s been a game changer for me. I really enjoy the 10 min yoga classes post run or anytime and they are perfect or runners. Remember I saw Denis first :). I met him twice in the NY studio he is just as fantastic in person and super cute
This is a helpful guide! I don’t use the Peloton app but I know I need to do more yoga and finding routines that target the hips, hamstrings, and quads is right up my alley!
It is amazing that 10 minute yoga classes can do wonders for runners
This is a great reference! It’s nice that Peloton offers so much more than “just” the cycling/spinning workouts.
so much more! Doing the yoga classes post run is a great tool in recovery. Maybe we will get you to join us one day
Very interesting post. Before the incident (January 2016) my cross training included swimming and twice a week postural gym.
Now I can only follow a personal program where I don’t have to strain and make large movements with the injured arm. Just this morning I got the results of the MRI and the situation is not good.
oh no! I am so sorry to hear this. Wishing you a speedy recovery
I don’t know why, but none of the (few) Yoga classes I’ve taken on Peloton really were my jam. I have enough (more than enough!) classes that I do take, and of course am always developing my own. 🙂
There are all different types of Yoga, and I am (mostly) glad when someone finds a Yoga class that is right for them.
yes it is nice to find a class that works for you. I am sure as an instructor, you are more than able to do your own yoga that you need
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve taken the yoga for hips classes you’ve listed but will need to check out the ones for hamstrings and quads. I do love that Peloton offers such a wide range of options.
I really find them to be fantastic post run stretches. Hope you find a few more to add to your list of go to’s
What a great resource – thank you! I am quite bad at finding new classes so this is very useful!
I did not know you were into Peloton classes too!
I love that there are such short little classes to focus on those most important parts of runner’s bodies! I think it makes yoga so manageable and accessible, as well as beneficial.
exactly! I do appreciate having these shorter classes as resources
Such a good collection – I also like that they are short and sweet making it difficult for me to find excuses that I don’t have time!
exactly! It is easy to fit in a 10 min yoga class
This is a great list, thanks for sharing your favorite classes. The Peloton yoga content is excellent.
It really is excellent and I don’t think runners take advantage of all of the offerings there
I really enjoy all of the yoga hips classes – they really help!
I think they really do!
I think I’ve tried all of these classes – I have Denis’ hips class on repeat 🙂 Great recommendations!
A little goes a long way!
Ohhhh…. well, now I’m missing Peloton a little! Especially Denis. He really does have some great, short, targeted classes. I can’t do yoga right now anyway because of a wrist issue (sigh) but I’ve been doing more stretching. I hope to get back to yoga one of these days.
We will take you back at Peloton anytime LOL
Believe it or not, I used to go to a yoga class once a week but with my new job, I’ve given that up.
Although I don’t have a peloton membership, I could always join again but there are so many online yoga classes.
I actually prefer though in person ones but the online ones are convenient. Thanks for sharing.
definitely convenient! I like to do the shorter classes after I stretch. Yes, we will always take you back on Peloton 🙂
Several of these sound very familiar 🙂 I need to check ALL of them out to refresh my memory. Thnx for this reference post!
I like the shorter 10 min classes after a stretch. Great for those hips!
I love doing Peloton classes that are focused for runners. There are a quite a few yoga classes I enjoy. Are we following each other? if not I’m Lacers02
We are now 🙂
This kind of makes me wish I had a Peloton subscription. I have been trying to cobble together flows from YouTube, but these all look perfect for runners.
the shorter classes are more doable for me. I do still have some 60 days free passes for Peloton if you want one let me know
