Thanks for joining the weekly run down with me and Kim. This week marked the return of sweaty season. Our humidity is off the charts and will stay there for the next few months. I am going to embrace it and move on but reserve the right to complain weekly. LOL.
Sweaty season is here Weekly Run Down
Sunday-5 mile run/walk + stretch
It was a pretty nice morning for June so I won’t complain too much yet (ha). I spent the rest of the day lounging by the pool reading again-aah bliss.
Monday-Peloton hike + core + upper & lower body strength + afternoon walk
Starting off my Monday strong just the way I like it. Loving these challenging Peloton hikes on the tread. I got in a good strength workout and then met a friend for an afternoon coffee walk.
Tuesday 3.5 mile run + 1 m walk + yoga for hips
Whew! We were not quite ready for the temps in the 80’s with humidity to match. Sorry for the complaining I will do for the next 3 months.
Wednesday-45 min Hiking class + core + strength for runners + stretch
Happy global Running day! No, I actually did not technically run today. Thankfully, my run yesterday earned me the virtual Global running Day 5K badge.

Thursday- 3.25 ish run + 1 mile walk
This was such a soupy sweaty run. It was so humid and we ended up getting rained on a few times which was welcome. Forgot to take a picture as I was in a rush to get home for our afternoon and evening plans.
Our anniversary was a few weeks ago but our celebration was tonight. We drove out to The Inn at Little Washington which is a very well known 3 Michelin star restaurant a little over an hour away from us in Washington, Virginia. It’s quite the experience and we look forward to going every year and spending the night in gorgeous Inn as well. The food was amazing and I over ate and enjoyed every bite.
Friday-rest day
We woke up still in a food coma of sorts. LOL. I decided to move my rest day to today. It’s a gorgeous day today and hoping that lasts all weekend.
Saturday -FBI Citizens Academy graduation ceremony
My 6 week FBI Citizens Academy program finished this week and we were treated to a fun morning and graduation ceremony at Quantico. Yes the Quantico where all FBI agents train before going into the field. Also the same place where Jodie Foster filmed a few of those Silence of the Lambs scenes. This was a real treat as Quantico is not open to the public for tours.
We also had the opportunity to shoot some weapons with the FBI agents who instruct incoming agents. Yes, I realize my outfit looks absolutely ridiculous but I did have an amazing time. It was really fun. While they might not be ready to recruit me just yet, I was a pretty good shot!
The citizens academy program that I completed is run in all of the FBI field offices around the country. If you are interested, check it out.
Back to my regularly scheduled programming this week!

You and your friends look great in pink.
Congrats on completing the FBI academy.
What’s next with all your new found knowledge.
I gt rained on today too and in the summer, it feels great.
Deborah Brooks says
thanks and not sure what I will do with it-we shall see!
Debbie says
Happy anniversary! Sounds like you had a splendid celebration.
Congrats again on graduating from the FBI Citizens Academy program. I feel pretty lucky then that we were able to tour Quantico back in the day. Maybe 9/11 changed things or maybe agents were allowed to organize tours at that time. The kids on the soccer team loved the mock town.
Deborah Brooks says
everything changed after 9/11 for sure. The FBI also became an intelligence gathering org after that as well. The mock town has also really changed with movie theaters and night clubs as well to match the current threat challenges. A very interesting day! PS not sure my comments are going through to your blog again for some reason

That FBI program sounds so cool! I love your outfit too.
Deborah Brooks says
