Summer is here in full force and that means keeping on top of hydration is paramount. Whether you are running, walking, hiking or enjoying other outdoor activities, a hydration pack can be just what you need. I was gifted the Nathan Pinnacle Breeze hydration pack in exchange for a fair review. As always, All opinions are mine. This post contains affiliate links.

Nathan Pinnacle Breeze 4L Hydration Pack Review
Admittedly, I am very picky about my hydration options. I don’t like anything that feels heavy on my back or chest. I’m not a fan of waist belts or hand held bottles. So, when I was offered the new Nathan Pinnacle Breeze to test out, I was skeptical. But, hey, why not give it a try?!

First impressions
I was really surprised by how light this vest style hydration pack is. (It weighs less than a half of a pound!) Made of mostly mesh with 6 pockets and 2 14 oz soft flasks with extended straws. It holds just the right amount of water for a short or medium run. I really like the size of these bottles and appreciate how lightweight they are. It’s easy to slide them right into their pockets and even easier to sip from them while on the move.

Pockets
The zippered pocket on the left side is perfect for a phone or wallet. The larger pocket on the back could easily hold a rolled up jacket, snacks or fuel or all of the above. The back pocket would also fit a “bladder” for extra hydration although it does not come with this model. The Pinnacle Breeze comes ”wired” if you will, so that if you do want to add that extra bladder in the back, you can easily thread the hose through and secure it properly.

Additional Features
Slider cords on the front and side allow for easy tightening and loosening to find your preferred fit. There is ample reflective detail on all sides to promote visibility of the user.

Overall thoughts
Honestly, I thought I would hate it and was pleasantly surprised that I really like it. It checks off so many boxes for me. It’s lightweight, doesn’t feel constricting on my chest or heavy on my back. 2-14 ounce bottles are perfect for me for short to medium runs. The straws are long enough so that I can easily sip from them without taking the bottles out. Would I like one more zippered pocket? Sure I would-I mean you can never have too many.
Loved it so much more than I expected to. It’s a winner for me! If you are looking for a lightweight, no fuss, hydration pack that holds just enough for short to medium length runs, give the Nathan Pinnacle Breeze a test run.

I was sent the Pinnacle Pro earlier this year and I love it. I usually wear mine with the bladder in the back. I like that it can be adjusted and that is has so many pockets to hold everything!
I like this lighter weight and profile it’s perfect for me.
Looks so lightweight (which it is, LOL), but also has ample storage. I Ike that the bottles both fit in the front and the straws are easily accessible. I have a similar a hydration vest, but the bottles need to be removed in order to sip from. My bottles have an ergonomic design, so I often just carry one in my hand for short/medium runs on really hot days.
I really liked all the design features so much more than I expected to!
Ooh, this sounds great! I love that it’s lightweight and that you don’t have to take the bottle out to drink. Win!
yes exactly! So many great features and very convenient
It’s super cute and i really like the color.
I used a Nathan vest way back in the day and I hated it so much. I imagine they have only improved and developed their products so they are much easier to wear.
I also tried one many years ago and it was way too heavy for me. I’m so glad they have nicer light weight options now
