Ready or not, we are in the midst of spring racing season. We are lucky to have so many races of all different distances to choose from. My 2023 spring race season is set. Here’s what’s on tap.
Spring 2023 Race Season
New York City Half Marathon
March 19th, 2023-how is time for this race already? It took me 3 years to get into the New York City Half Marathon! I am really excited to run through the streets of NYC, waving to the crowd in Times Square and finishing in Central Park.
Cherry Blossom 10. Miler
This Washington, DC race has been a long time favorite of mine! On April 2, 2023 I will be running it for the 12th time. The view of the DC monuments never gets old even to those who live here. Bonus-this the 50th anniversary race year.
Broad Street 10 miler
This will be my first time running this iconic Philadelphia race. It is the biggest 10 miler in the country and I will be running through the streets of Philly with 40,000 of my running friends. I will also be running with 2 of my actual friends. I hear they have hot pretzels at the finish line!
Father’s Day Run With Dad 5K
Remember a few weeks ago I mentioned that my husband wanted to start running again. Well, he has started running on the treadmill and actually FaceTimed me the other day to prove it. But wait, he wants to run a 5K. So, we will be running this very low key Father’s Day race together in June.
After that, I will be hanging up my racing gear for the summer! As you all know, summer running is not my favorite and I don’t like to do races in the summertime.
Will I see you at any of these spring races? What race are you most looking forward to this spring or summer?
I am linking up with My First 5K and More, Running With Attitude, Run Laugh Eat Pie, Runs with Pugs, and Zenaida

Hope you enjoy NYC. So
Much that you do it again with me. Lol.
Yes those two 10 milers are in my list. I’m glad that I didn’t sign up this year but maybe another year.
Hooray for a husband who wants to run. FOMO. Hope he enjoys that race.

Yes I am confident we will do another race together at some point!

Major FOMO on NYC & Philly!!!! But I’m excited for the Cherry Blossom:-)…and this year, I’m snagging the arm warmers at the expo.

You’ve got three big, fun races and THEN the best one of all, a 5K with your husband on Father’s Day!!! What a great lineup. And yes- how is it the middle of March already? March 19th is almost here- I’m excited for you.
Deborah Brooks says

Renée says

These are great! I’m kind of making my schedule up as I go. I have several races in April that sound interesting, so I just need to book them.
Deborah Brooks says
It is also fun to sign up for smaller races as they pop up! My big 3 were lottery races so I just kind of went for it!
Zenaida Arroyo says
I will be there for 2 of your races! Love that you will be doing a race with your dad.
Deborah Brooks says
Yes great! Oh and its my husband that is running the Father’s Day race not my dad 🙂
Cari says

I love that we have the same thought-and are sharing our cities, even though I don’t run the NYC Half much, there’s jusr SOMETHING about running through Times Square which you can’t otherwise do. Magic.
I feel like they’re underselling the 50th – but hope the expo has some good swag. So glad to be running these two with you —
and love the idea of the Father’s Day run.
Deborah Brooks says
I am so glad to be sharing these races with you too! 🙂
