Welcome to the September Ultimate Coffee Date! Coco and I are so excited to have you join us and we are even more excited to debut our new graphic. We love the new vibe and hope you will too.
Grab your mug and your favorite drink and let’s chat! I have lots to share with you today.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…
It’s been a crazy busy month at our house. We moved our daughter into her first apartment at Indiana University. I’m already missing her a ton. It’s always so hard to say goodbye when we drop her off. My son starts 11th grade on Tuesday-how did that happen?
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…
I always feel like September is a great time for a reset and re-evaluation of things. I got a little off my game this past month and I need to refocus on my goals and get back on track. The start of the school year feels like a great time to do that.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…
My husband and son are anxiously awaiting the start of football this weekend. Fantasy leagues and college football have been all the talk around here lately. I like to watch football as well just not for the whole entire weekend. Why do people eat unhealthy food while watching games?
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…
I can’t believe that Halloween candy is already on the shelves! I also think people got just a wee bit pumpkin crazy last year. I mean everything is now pumpkin flavored. Don’t get me wrong, I love pumpkin but not in August or September. I solemnly swear that I will not prepare any pumpkin dishes or offer any pumpkin recipes until after October 1st.

It is hard to believe your daughter is starting her 2nd year! WOW! and yes, I am more than ready for a little football! but not ready for all the pumpkin posts! LOL! Pass the guac and chips! Have a great weekend! Love the new graphic! If you ever want another 3rd hostess I would love to join you!

I know it’s crazy how fast the kids grow up! I am so ready for fall but not yet on the pumpkins!! Have a fantastic weekend
Coco says
I like your pumpkin pledge! And then no Christmas shopping for me until after Thanksgiving #respectthebird 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
Yes that too! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday actually and I hate when it is overtaken by all the holiday gear.
Lara @ Uptite Mamas says
Love the new graphic! I’m excited for fall to come and fall clothes but I’m really not ready to say good bye to summer. Even if it was (is) super humid!!
Deborah Brooks says
Yes ready for fall clothes and some cooler temps!
Wendy@Taking the Long Way Home says
I agree with you on the pumpkin spice phenomenon! Why do we have to overdo every trend?
Yep, football house here! It’s kind of fun, tho!
Janice @ Salads4Lunch says
Cute new image!! I’m in the same boat as you – September is time to get motivated again and buckle down. Enjoy the football season!
Deborah Brooks says
It is a great time to get back onto a regular schedule for sure!
Danielle @ Wild Coast Tales says
Halloween candy already on shelves? That’s terrifying! In September I’m looking to refocus and set some new work goals and blog goals (since I only started blogging in June)!
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
We’re a big football household and can’t wait for the season to begin! I agree that it is a little crazy that Halloween candy is already on the shelves – I really wish retailers wouldn’t rush the holidays!
Tricia@MissSippipiddlin says
I am so ready for some football! Only 2 more days until I get it too. We are in Orlando for the sole purpose of seeing our Rebels play FL State. Course a long getaway weekend isn’t a bad thing either 🙂
Thanks Deborah for the link up. I’m glad I could make it this month. Love the new graphic too!
Karen - Fit in France says
I actually love football but we don’t get it here in France, obviously. Baseball is another favorite but we do not get that either. And I have no idea why people snack on unhealthy food while watching football ? All the beer commercials ?
Love the new graphic.
I love September and the start of the new year.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
No, not much football watching here at all.
I know, I saw pumpkin oreos at Target! Madness!
It’s very difficult for mamas when their babies fly off on their own. Although frankly I think my parents were practically pushing me out the door — I’m the “baby”.
Farrah says
haha, I used to not be the biggest fan of pumpkin-flavored things but I caught the bug about 5 years ago and have fully embraced it! I’m with you though—August is way too early. I’ll probably start later this month with em’! 😛
I’ve only ever sat through football games back in the day when I was going out with someone who was super into sports, haha. Have not watched em’ since! If I end up at a party where they’re watching football, I’m usually just there for the food!
Shannon @GirlsGotSole says
It’s so hard to believe it’s September already! I’m anxious for the cooler temps to come, that’s for sure. Unfortunately, here in Florida we likely won’t get a reprive from this heat for awhile still.
Vanessa Junkin says
I will admit I did have a pumpkin muffin today, and it was delicious! It does seem a little early, but once it starts getting cold (or before if I can’t wait) I’ll be ready for that pumpkin spice latte.
Liz @ I Heart Vegetables says
Hahaha I totally forgot football started this weekend and I wasn’t too thrilled about it 😉 My family is so into it and I could kind of care less, haha.
That’s exciting about your daughter’s apartment!! But I’m sure it’s hard to leave her!
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says
I’d be agreeing with you on the Halloween candy… it just snuck up on me! I thought it was still August in my head!!!
GiGi Eats says
I am pumpkin spicing my salmon right now! LMFAO!
