Thanks for joining Kim and Me for the weekly run down. This week we are seeing signs of spring and things are blooming. I am gearing up for our ski vacation with nervous anticipation. Stay tuned for fun photos coming soon!

Seeing signs of spring Weekly Run Down

Sunday- 6.5 mile run + stretch + barre

I completely misjudged how quickly it would warm up and was so hot on my run. We had planned to run 7-8 miles but ran out of water and called it at 6.5. No worries it was a good training run and felt good.

Weekly run down

Monday-Peloton walk + upper body strength + core + mobility and stretch

A little manic Monday over here with a few plumbing service calls. It’s always something right!? Other than that, my Monday is off to a strong start.

Weekly run down

Tuesday-Peloton cycle + Peloton tread walks + stretch

I had a super early (for me) Dr. appointment this morning for blood work and my yearly physical. After the fasting and the 2 hour appointment, I was starving! I got off schedule because I missed my run group time so I opted for some Peloton cycle and tread classes. I’ve been neglecting my bike lately and it felt good to pedal it out.

I was happy to see my strength training is paying off as my “In Body” scan showed I gained 1.5 pounds of muscle since last year. That’s not easy to do at 54!

Hungry? Check out my spicy cucumber and edamame salad.

Wednesday-Peloton walk + lower body strength + core + stretch/mobility

I am still in Rebecca’s split strength program and love the challenge it continues to provide me.

Weekly run down

Thursday-5 mile run + stretch & mobility

Turned out to be a beautiful day after all day rain yesterday. Things are starting to bloom and not look so dreary anymore. Also kind of obsessed with these new pink shoes which happen to be on sale.

Weekly run down

Friday- Peloton walk x2 + lower body strength + core + stretch

I warmed up with a Peloton walk on the tread and then a heavy weights lower body strength. Later, an other Peloton walk. It was in the 60’s again today for a few hours so an afternoon walk with a friend was added in.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, I teamed up with a few of my friends (who you will recognize) to share something we love about our bodies.

Saturday- Peloton tread walk + cycle + stretch

Another rainy Saturday Around here. I slept in until 9 which was amazing then hit my gym for some Peloton. Spent the afternoon packing and getting ready to jet off to Colorado.

We have an early flight out to Aspen, Colorado this morning. Stay tuned for all the snowy, ski photos all week on IG.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I hope you have the best time in Colorado! It’s going to be so much fun!

It did get super warm here, but this week, the mornings are colder again. I don’t mind, except I want to go running on the beach, and that’s a little more complicated when it’s cold and windy.

      03/11/2024 at 5:55 pm
