Thanks for joining Kim and Me for the Weekly Run Down. We continue to have some amazing fall weather around here and I am all for it. I’m running into November which looks to be a busy month ahead. We’ve got birthdays, family events, Thanksgiving, and of course some travel. More on that later. Here’s a peek into my week of running and fitness.
Running into November
Monday- core + upper & lower body strength + Peloton cycle + 15 m of hip yoga
I was happy to be back to my heavier weights for lower body strength. Starting my Monday off with a hard workout always gets me in a good mood.
Tuesday- 5.5 mile run + stretch + 15 min yoga for hips
It was warm and humid today but the leaves were at full peak which made for a gorgeous run. I am happy to be getting back into my groove with pacing and distance.
Wednesday- upper & lower body strength + core + yoga for hips & feet
One of those strength workouts I know I am going to feel tomorrow-in a good way. My feet enjoyed a 10 minute yoga for feet class. I decided to step out of my activewear for a normal person photo. The trees are just beautiful here this week.
Thursday-5 mile run + stretch + core
It was a gorgeous albeit warm day. I felt really good out there today and happy to be running into November.
Friday-lower & upper body strength + core + yoga for hips + PT appt.
Good strength session today with heavy weights. My PT is really happy with my progress and my hips seem to be more in alignment. I am on an as needed basis and cleared for speed work. Yay! I have a few more days of my yoga for hips challenge. Full review coming soon.
Saturday- Rest Day and stretch
It was so gorgeous out, I took a little neighborhood stroll. Other than that, rest day.
Sunday-On the plan 6 mile run
Looks to be another unseasonably warm day. I plan to do 6 miles and keep on running into November.

Glad you’ve been able to enjoy the outdoors. This fall has been nice. We had unseasonably warm weather here too most of the week but yesterday, the wind blew that all away! Most of the leaves are down now too.
Have a great week!
Deborah Brooks says
the leaves were just beautiful this week although it was a lot warmer. Feels good to be outside for sure
Melissa says

Happy to hear you are feeling better v
Love the normal clothes pic.
Our leaves are past peak. Your foliage pics are lovely.
Enjoy your run. It’s warm here too.
Deborah Brooks says
We probably have a few more days of the leaves before they all fall. There is something peaceful about running on the crunchy leaves
Debbie says
It certainly was a gorgeous week and it sounds like you made the most of it as did I. I just checked this coming week’s forecast and it sounds like we’ll have more seasonable weather after today.
I love the picture of you from Wednesday!
Deborah Brooks says
thanks! Yes, looks like we are going to be cooler this week. It was a little too hot this morning!
Coco says
So glad you are running strong again! It was a great week for it, if oddly warm and humid!
Do you have any more races this year?
Deborah Brooks says
It was a little too warm and humid this morning! No more races until probably Feb just trying to keep my base up

Glad that the Yoga & PT seem to be doing its job. Congrats — it’s hard work, I know.
Deborah Brooks says
Thanks and yes, it is a lot of work to keep everything up and running 🙂

Glad you’re feeling so much better! Getting back you one’s normal routine is rewarding, and euphoric 😉
Deborah Brooks says
You’re right there is nothing like it
Marcia says
Soak up that mild weather while you can! Glad your hips are responding to the PT. Alignment and strength are so important for hips! I swear it takes a village sometimes. Haha!
Deborah Brooks says
It sure does take a lot of work to keep things up and running the right way doesn’t it?!
Jenny says
Glad everything is feeling good! I’ll be interested to hear your review of yoga for hips.
Yes, your fall colors are beautiful! I guess it was pretty warm everywhere this week. Personally, I’d like to see some more fall-like weather…
Deborah Brooks says
We had great fall weather for a few weeks then this week it was hot again. I am ready for real fall!

So happy to hear that the PT is helping – that’s great news!
I enjoyed the unseasonably warm temps this weekend – I think we have one more day of it and then it’s back to normal lol.
Deborah Brooks says
I am kind of ready for actual November temps myself!

Another beautiful week with beautiful fall colors. I love it.
Glad you got a little rest towards the end of the week, and I hope your November continues to be free of injury and pain!
Deborah Brooks says
We had a really nice streak of fall weather last week.

Other than being a little too warm for marathoning (haha!) the weather was gorgeous last week. I’m sad to see all of the leaves being raked up in piles now. I miss the beautiful colors! Glad to hear you are making such great progress and your PT is happy!
Deborah Brooks says
Yes, it was way too warm for marathons and half marathons!
