Thanks for joining Kim and Me for the weekly run down. I had a pretty good month in January despite the weather challenges and looking forward to running into February.

Weekly Run Down Running into february

Sunday- 5 mile run + stretch and core

Just like that we are back to winter with a cold light rain for our run. Nothing special about this run just keeping on keeping on.

Weekly run down

Monday-Peloton walks + upper & lower body strength + core + stretch

I was on a mission this morning to hit my 2K milestone on Peloton. So, I created a varied stack that would allow me to hit. I do love to have a long workout on Mondays. Why yes, I am motivated by fitness badges.

Weekly run down

Tuesday-5.2 mile run + core + stretch

I finally nailed my outfit and was not too cold or too hot. It’s been a challenge lately with the wind and rain, etc. Today, it was about 36 degrees, cloudy and minimal wind. This Brooks vest was perfect. We had some fun stopping at the playground for a pic.

Weekly run down

Wednesday-Peloton walk + upper & lower body strength + core + cycle

A good mix of everything today! Right now I am using my bike mostly for recovery rides post strength and not feeling like I need go all out on rides at the moment. I am enjoying pushing on strength right now on non run days.

So, I asked on my IG, when you have 5 reps to go…Do you count up 1,2,3,4,5 or down from 5 to 1? No right answer just curious! I tend to count up.

Thursday- 4.25 mile run + core + stretch

We started off February with a gorgeous, sunny and crisp morning. Having the sun shining on me is everything. Just makes my day!

Running into February

Friday-Peloton walk + lower & upper body strength + foam rolling

Only an idiot would do a super hard lower body workout 2 days before her first race in a year. #WearRed day ❤️

Weekly run down

We had an MRTT happy hour to celebrate our 11th birthday of our running group. These ladies just make me smile! I was so busy all day Saturday that I have not had time to add these photos yet!

Saturday-Rest Day

Rest day for me with a Peloton stretch or 2. We were running around all day! Ready or not I am running my first race in a long time Sunday. Needless to say, I am a little nervous. Erica suggested that I focus on a PR in smiles per miles and I love that idea! You know how much I loved a themed race opportunity.

You inspired me with your challenges and badges post a few weeks ago. I’d never signed up for any Strava challenges because I have a private account and didn’t think I’d be able to, but I am. I’ve been collecting badges like crazy for the past few weeks!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/04/2024 at 12:33 pm

About counting the reps- I usually count up, but if it’s the last set and I’m struggling I’ll count down- 5,4,3,2,1. It helps!

      02/04/2024 at 12:33 pm

I did really smile a lot! Thanks it was fun to be back out there. I count up usually bc it makes me feel more accomplished I think
