Bob and Brad Leg Massagers
Leg massagers have become quite popular amongst runners and other athletes over the last few years. What are they? How can they help you recover? What do they feel like?
What are leg massagers?
They are boot like padded sleeves that slide over your feet and legs. Users will feel a squeeze like a “blood pressure cuff” at varying intervals . This squeezing motion pushes the blood in and out of your veins helping to promote blood flow.
How can they help you recover from running
Recent studies have shown that compression therapy can help athletes enhance recovery and report less muscle pain. They can be a useful tool in your arsenal of recovery gadgets and practices.

This system is a pretty simple design of 2 boots that slide on over your feet and extend to your knee area. There is a second set of thigh attachments that allows the compressive therapy to hit your quads and hamstrings. You have the ability to adjust the fit with the velcro closures.
The different settings allow you to program either feet, legs or thigh separately or all at once. The default setting hits all 3 starting with the feet. 15 minutes is the set duration of the session. I like to do 2 back to back. Those 15 minutes go by fast when resting!
There are 4 intensity settings and it’s easy to move up and down for your comfort. Unlike some other systems, the Bob & Brad also has a gentle heating option which feels very nice on sore muscles.
It is not as bulky as some other systems I have seen. In fact, it folds right up to store in their handy carry bag which can also be taken along for travel. Hello, racecations!
Overall thoughts
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and performance of Bob & Brad’s leg massagers. They take just minutes to set up and slide into. If you are looking for an economical option, you cannot beat these for under one hundred dollars. (Some of the pricier brands sell for 8x that amount!) I know I will be sliding my tired feet and legs into them often as part of my run recovery routine.

I like that they are not as bulky as the other options! So handy for runners training for races.
I would use them before going to bed – I’m sure they help you to get sleepy, too.
They really do relax me. I have been loving them
It’s nice to see some of these that are more reasonably priced! I never even considered them because of the price tag on some of the others. Its great that they are easy to travel with too!
The price difference is amazing and they are well worth it!
Never heard of this brand. Thanks for the review.
Really!? They are so funny check them out on IG and FB. They are fabulous physical therapists with great tips
I have been seeing these more often and did think they were bulky. Glad to hear that they pack up nicely!
they really do!
Those look really convenient & you cannot beat the price point! When I had my emergency surgery, they had similar “boots” on both my legs for several hours afterwards. Thru weren’t heated, though. The heat element, for these, really sounds sweet!
You can try them when you come visit!
Really? Under $100??? That’s a great price. I love Bob and Brad and didn’t know they had this product. It’s going on my wish list immediately.
It is a great product and well worth the price
