I am not into New Year’s Resolutions at all but I am into assessing how I can make better choices with my fitness and nutrition and “reset” a couple of things. Some of those choices involve listening to my body and taking rest days, stretching more and cross training to avoid injury this year. I am also striving to make better snack choices. I am moving away from packaged snacks an re-focusing on eating fruits and Greek yogurt for snacks.
I’ve been a lover of Greek Yogurt for a while now, so I was excited to try out some of the over 20 new Yoplait Greek Yogurt flavors Apple pie, banana caramel, black cherry, key lime, lemon and Boston creme pie (my new fave!) just to name a few. You can view all the flavors here .
Why Snack on Yoplait Greek Yogurt?
~100 Calorie Snack
~Offers 10-14 grams of protein
~lower sugar than many leading brands
~No aspartame
~No high fructose corn syrup
~Gluten Free, No Gelatin
~Real added fruit
~Great source of Vitamin A, D and Calcium
~Low sodium & cholesterol
For the past few weeks I’ve been eating Yoplait Greek Yogurt for my pre-workout snack or evening snack with fruit or a sprinkle of granola on top. I’ve found it really keeps me going to power through a spin class or intense kick boxing routine. I don’t feel that crash I sometimes do with a sugary bar. When I add Greek Yogurt into my day, I somehow feel it sets me up to make healthier choices the rest of the day. Do you feel that way too?
I was really craving something sweet the other night and tried out the Boston Creme Pie Greek Yogurt. It was creamy and flavorful and really did the trick.
Yoplait has set up a pretty cool Pinterest board with tons of 150 calorie snack ideas using their Greek Yogurt. Check it out and let me know your favorites. You know you’re on there anyway 🙂
[This post was sponsored by Yoplait, however all opinions are my own.]
What’s your favorite way to eat Greek Yogurt?
Pamela @ Brooklyn Farm Girl says
I have a bit of a yogurt fear I admit, but that boston pie variety might change that! 😉
Deborah Brooks says
Really? What are you afraid of?? LOL The Boston Creme pie was a nice “dessert” almost like a pudding and very satisfying.
Stacey says
Okay, now I need to actually try Greek yogurt—you had my at key lime 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
You’ve never tried Greek Yogurt?? Some of the earlier brands are sour like but these are yummy yummy. Hope you check them out.
HoHo Runs says
I eat Greek yogurt every day. I think there is too much sugar in my brand so I definitely need to try this one. My current favorite flavor is Lemon Meringue Pie.
Deborah Brooks says
I try to eat it often too. Some of the brands have so much sugar it’s not worth eating. Check these out and let me know what you think.
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says
I recently tried the Boston Creme flavor – it’s really good! I love that they’ve cleaned up their ingredients a bit too!
Deborah Brooks says
Me too! I really like some of the new flavors too!
Stephanie says
I love Yoplait Greek yogurt! It is actually the only brand I buy. My kids love it too. I use it in recipes and for breakfast and as a late night snack. It is a great alternative to ice cream.
Deborah Brooks says
My kids like it too! I love some of the new flavors as well.
Wendy@Taking the Long Way Home says
No HFCS? Was it really sweet? I know Chobani isn’t GMO but it is my fave. My husband really liked the Brown Cow Greek Yogurt I got for him last week. I’ll have to try the Yoplait.
Deborah Brooks says
It’s not really sweet which is why I loved it. They cleaned their ingredients up and took out all of the artificial sweetener too. I loved the taste and its my new go to.
Mary Beth Jackson says
I know I need to be better about eating yogurt! I put it on the grocery list and am going to make a better stab at it. I like crunchy stuff on mine like granola and mini m&m’s (HA- justkidding, well not really) Nice post !
Deborah Brooks says
Thanks! I just feel better when I eat yogurt everyday. I am sure the M and M’s would be great but I love the Kind granola and some fruit on top. Makes a great snack. 🙂
Diatta @ Femme Fitale Fit Club says
I’ve had a time eating Greek yogurt because the consistency just hasn’t been that great to me – too thick. I have tried multitude of brands. I may give this one a go once I finish my cleanse. I have cut back on dairy. What is the sugar content?
Deborah Brooks says
I like this brand bc it was way less sugar than the other brands I was eating. I feel better when I eat yogurt but I don’t have dairy issues. Hope your cleanse is going well. I am doing a reset but I by accident ate some m and m’s yesterday. 🙂
Diatta @ Femme Fitale Fit Club says
Accident huh? LOL
Julie @ Running in a Skirt says
I am a huge fan of greek yogurt! You probably figured that out from the gazzilion recipes I post with it. So yummy! I’m going to pick some up at the store today.
Deborah Brooks says
Yes me too! I always feel better when I eat it. I am loving all of these new flavors.
Karen - Fit in France says
Love Greek yogurt. Had the vanilla this week, it was so good ! I prefer it plain or with raspberries.
Deborah Brooks says
The vanilla is great too. Didn’t know you had it over there too. Happy snacking
Kelli says
Interesting, I’ve been a Chobani girl – plain vanilla. My initial impressions of Yoplait were that it was “faking” the greek yogurt with Gelatin and sweeteners. However, this has me convinced to try it again. Good protein content – what type of sweetener does it use? No aspartame but presumably something for the dessert flavors to keep cals under 100.
Deborah Brooks says
So as far as I understand they have taken out a lot of the crap and use real sugar only. It is lower than the other brands. I agree with you it used to taste fake. Check it out next time you are at the store.
Natalie says
LOVE greek yogurt! I love to eat it as a snack with granola, blueberries or strawberries.
I usually go with the Fage brand plain and add a touch of honey.
These Yoplait flavors sound delicious! I will try them! 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
The new flavors are amazing and they have less sugar then the Fage. Check it out.
Kristy @Runaway Bridal Planner says
This is actually what I had for lunch, but Strawberry Yoplait Greek Yogurt! Although, mine didn’t look quite as fab as yours:) I really should have been more creative than just opening and grabbing a spoon:)
Yoplait is actually my favorite yogurt brand, both Greek and regular!
Deborah Brooks says
Right out of the container works too! Ha ha but it is much better with some fruit and granola. Excited for the blog hop
Akaleistar says
Love Greek yogurt! I like to add granola and dried cherries to it 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
ooh haven’t had it with cherries in it yet!
Sue @ This Mama Runs for Cupcakes says
What is it sweetened with? How many grams of sugar. I know you and I have both been on the hunt for a healthier greek yogurt. Interested to see how this compares to the 100 calorie Chobani. Have you tried that one?
Deborah Brooks says
Yes I was eating that one before and this has less sugar and no artificial sweeteners. They have cleaned up their ingredients. Check it out next time you are at the store.
Toni @runninglovingliving says
The Boston Cream Pie looks delicious! It is one flavor I haven’t tried, now I need too!
Deborah Brooks says
That was my favorite!!
Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC says
sometimes the texture of greek yogurt bothers me – is this one real thick? i love topping yogurt with granola!
Deborah Brooks says
I really liked the texture of this one. It wasn’t really super thick. I love granola and fruit on mine.

This looks soooo delicious!
Deborah Brooks says
They have some great new flavors!
Janice - Fitness Cheerleader says
Yum! Thanks for the wonderful ideas! My favourite way to eat greek yogurt is plain (unflavoured, no sugar or sweeteners) with a tablespoon of ground chia but I was kind of getting bored of that. These ideas are great! Yum yum!!
Deborah Brooks says
Interesting I don’t know if I could eat it plain. I actually haven’t tried Chia seeds yet!
