1. FIND IT: Search our collection of dresses and accessories for your rental date (we recommend 1–2 days before your event), then filter by designer, price, length — even style — to narrow down your favorites.

2. BOOK IT: Once you’ve selected your items, book for a 4-day or 8-day rental period. We also offer all the essential extras like Spanx and Fashion Tape.

3. WEAR IT: Your order will arrive by 8PM on your delivery date via UPS (or by courier in NYC). Time to slip it on and shine!

4: RETURN IT: After your night out, send back your items in the easy pre-paid envelope provided — we’ll take care of the dry cleaning. Don’t forget to upload a photo and review to Our Runway.

The 4 day rentals for dresses range from about $25 to $150 depending on the designer.

Even after obsessively looking at their website, I was a little skeptical. I seem to have trouble finding a dress that I can just wear without alterations of some sort. When my 17 y.o. daughter had a dance to go a few weeks ago, that seemed like the perfect way to test it out. She chose 2 dresses (she had a coupon that gave her the second style free). We scheduled them to arrive on a Thursday night and they came UPS right on schedule. She ended up wearing the Badgley Mischka dress and it needed no alterations, fit great and she looked beautiful as you can see. She ended up renting hers for $40 and with the coupon she also got a free pair of earrings to rent. The order came with the UPS bag to return it in. We had until Sunday to return it and got to keep the hanging bag and hangers.

Now I was intrigued but still not 100% convinced this would work for me. I had an event coming up in Vegas and was really having trouble finding a dress in the stores. It was a work event for my husband with a slightly older and conservative crowd. I wanted to look trendy and cute but not too over the top. Most of the RTR orders are done on line but they have 2 showrooms in NYC and Las Vegas. Sold! I made an appt at the Vegas showroom for the day before my event. I brought along a back up dress just in case.

Scheduling on line was a breeze, I took a taxi to the Cosmopolitan Hotel and RTR was on their second floor. I felt like I was walking into a dream closet of a celebrity lined wall to wall with long and short dresses. Accessories and purses draped everywhere. It was a little overwhelming at first but the two style experts where very helpful. I explained to them what I was looking for and they began to bring me samples to try on.

Here are a few I considered initially. As I mentioned, I didn’t want to go too short or too low cut for the group I would be with. Some of these I would have worn to another event and may in the future.

I spent about an hour trying on different styles and I ultimately went with this Narcisco Rodriguez “No Regrets” dress. It was $125 to rent for a $1600 dress. I was so excited about all of this that I forgot to use my coupon-oh well! I used some ‘Hollywood Tape” on the straps to keep them from slipping and that was the only “alteration” I needed. This is how it looked that night. I got tons of compliments on the dress and I felt really comfortable in it.

They also rent handbags and all kinds of accessories. I came prepared so didn’t need to use those this time. I was given a UPS mailing bag to return the dress in. I rented on a Thursday and had until Sunday morning to drop my bag into any UPS return box. Gave it right to the hotel desk on Saturday and done hassle free. I’m definitely sold on the concept and would absolutely use RTR again. It’s super easy, they have tons of styles for every body type and it comes right on time.
