About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I love bodyweight workouts like this. They are perfect for bringing with me to do when I go to my Florida house and don’t have any equipment there. Hope your enjoying your busy vacations week. I agree that they are usually more hectic feeling than a regular week. The normal routine goes out the window and the craziness takes over.

Thanks for sharing the glute workout!

  35. Shathiso says

    02/07/2019 at 2:13 am

I used to tell myself a workout is not a workout unless it takes a long time. So I used to scoff at my husband’s 7-minute daily workouts! Not anymore – the last few weeks I have loved doing 10 minute workouts – I’ve done a lot of arm work using dumb-bells as well as some glute exercises! I’m looking forward to trying out your ideas. Thanks for the demo on donkey kicks and fire hydrants, those are the two I didn’t know.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/07/2019 at 9:58 am

Everything adds up! Hope you like the workout!

  36. Janelle @ Run With No Regrets says

This is a great workout! I need to keep workouts like this handy! Usually I don’t have much of a backup plan!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/07/2019 at 9:58 am

      Always have a Plan B!

  37. Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says

    02/07/2019 at 12:38 pm

I do the shorter Iron Strength workouts. They are about 15-20 minutes but they are intense! I always find that when I make time for them once a week my body does thank me.

I used to do the non-abbreviated workout, which is basically kind of a combo of the shorter workouts, but I haven’t in a long time. That’s definitely intense!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/08/2019 at 11:22 am

The shorter workouts can be intense and fun to do once in a while or as an add on to a run

  38. Esther says

    02/07/2019 at 10:04 pm

This is so perfect for those days when the gym doesn’t work into my plans!
