Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week we were treated to all the beautiful October weather I’ve been waiting for accompanied by all the changing leaves. October is my favorite color. Here’s a peek into my week of fitness.

October is my favorite color Weekly Run Down

Sunday- 3.5 mile walk + core + barre

Soaking in the fab fall weather again on this morning power walk. I am ready to up my weighted vest and have a slightly heavier one on the way. I really feel like I am walking so much better and more intentionally.

Monday- Peloton power walk + core + barre + full body strength + 3 mile afternoon walk

I love to start off my Monday strong and fit a little bit of everything in today. Later, met a friend for an after lunch walk in our beautiful weather.

Tuesday- 3.5 mile run/walk + core + stretch

The trees are starting to change colors and the leaves falling. It’s my happy time to be outside.

Weekly run down

Wednesday-full body strength + core + barre + 3 mile walk

A little bit of everything today. It was really warm out this afternoon and I met a friend for a hilly 3 mile walk after lunch.

Thursday-4+ run/walk + core

We were gifted with another beautiful October morning. Our leaves are starting to burst with color and I’m all or it.

Weekly run down

Friday-upper body strength + core + hill walk

Friday fitness included a full body endurance strength workout plus core. After lunch, I had a great hilly walk outside on another fab October day.

Saturday-core + barre + 3 mile walk

Nothing super exciting about this one. It was too nice out for a rest day today so I headed out for my hilly walk.

Hope you are enjoying your week of October color as much as I am.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Glad you’re enjoying our beautiful weather! It’s been so beautiful this fall. We’re in the midst of our third fall – first in Vermont, then in SWVA, and now in NOVA. 🙂

Yay, your season is finally here (as well as your favorite color). I’m inspired to look into getting a weighted vest, since I’ll be doing some early morning treadmill walks this. Winter and a little extra resistance will be great. Enjoy the season,

Oooookay. This truly is the hardest time to live in Florida. Winters are beautiful down here, summers are hot (but it’s hot everywhere nowadays in the summer) but fall is when I really have FOMO. Those fall colors are BEAUTIFUL! I’m imagining your crisp, cool air, and how good it must feel for running. Well, you suffered through the summer and this is your reward! Enjoy it!

Everything looks amazing where you are, and I’m so glad for you having such lovely autumn weather! I hope I can get out there to enjoy October properly next year. Interesting what you say walking with a weighted vest has done for you. Obviously mine will have to wait a while but I look forward to it. What weight are you upgrading to?

    • Deborah Brooks says

      10/27/2024 at 12:25 pm

Yes, I am loving the weighted vest! I just upgraded to 15 pounds. Happy to chat about it anytime with you

Our trees and colors are about half way done now. Glad we still have some colors left to turn. Also glad I’m not in charge of raking them up! 🙂 There’s a lot of things I could be doing indoors these days (hello overflowing inbox!) but I don’t want to pass up this lovely weather. Good to see you enjoying it too!
