November Ultimate Coffee Date

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

I might be a little late because I am in San Francisco! Unfortunately, I am not running the Napa Ragnar due to the devastating fires in California. The hubs and I decided to go out to San Fran anyway and spend a few days playing tourists. I can’t wait to tell you all about all of our adventures next week.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

November is my birthday month and also my husbands. We are 2 days apart (and 4 years but who is counting?) I always feel the need to sign up for a bunch of races around my birthday. It just so happens to coincide with Veteran’s Day week so I have a lot of choices around the DC area. Maybe it makes me feel younger?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday and we are hosting again. It’s not about religion or gifts it’s just about being thankful for family and friends. I need to finalize my menu and figure out all the sides I plan to make. I have this craving for a S’mores pie after I had a taste of one in Georgia a few weeks ago. Who can decide?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

This fall season of Girls on The Run is flying by and it’s almost time for our end of the season 5K race in about 4 weeks. I am having a blast with my girls this season.

I’ve been chatting away so now it’s your turn! Tell me-What do you love about Thanksgiving? Do you sign up for races around your birthday? Thanks for joining us for the November Ultimate Coffee Date today have a good one!

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I’m glad you and your husband decided to go to San Fran anyway! We really love Northern CA and San Fran is a great city. I am excited to see what you were up to. Happy early birthday! My hubby and I are one year, 3 days apart.

I too love Thanksgiving! Christmas edges it out as my favorite because I love Christmas decorations, lights, and smells! But I see my family and have a big meal on both holidays.

it’s kind of fun to have your hubs birthday close isn’t it? We are 4 years and 2 days so lots of celebrating. We are having a blast eating and touring San Fran

There are no races (local) on my birthday — deep in the heart of winter. I did pick it for what I thought would be my first half (turned out to be our second).

While I’m sad you didn’t get to do Ragnar & of course for the reason you didn’t get to do it, I’m happy you were able to turn it into a trip! How fun! Love SF although it’s been decades & like I said, running across the golden gate is on my bucket list. How was it? Was it really windy up there?

I’m glad we were able to go as well. The day we went it was perfect! Beautiful views and no wind. I hope you have the chance to run it sometime too

I hope you are having fun in SF! I’ve always wanted to run a race on my actual birthday. It hasn’t happened yet. For one, it would have to fall on a weekend. I can’t wait for Sweet Potato Casserole at Thanksgiving. Thanks for coffee!

I’m glad you’re having a fun trip to San Francisco – your pictures are gorgeous. I can’t wait to read about your adventures next week.

Happy birthday month to us! As you know, this is a big one for me and I’m celebrating by spending a long weekend at the beach with a bunch of my runner friends. Normally I don’t really think about an added race in November for my birthday (I always run the local turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning), but this year we’re celebrating by running the OBX Half Marathon!

    Thank you for the linkup!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      11/05/2017 at 12:44 am

Yes happy birthday to us! You are going to have so much fun running the half with your besties. Most fun way to celebrate! I think I am going to squeeze in 2 10K’s next weekend if the weather is good
