My Favorite Winter Jacket-The Gemini

  • Share
  • Tweet

With the very chilly winter we have been having, I realized that I’ve really come to rely on my Skirt Sports Gemini jacket quite a bit this year. I noticed that most of my pictures the last few months have me wearing one of my jackets. As you may know, I am a Skirt Sports Ambassador however, I was not asked to write this nor am I compensated in any way for my thoughts. Just sharing the love!

Gemini Jacket|Skirt Sports|winter wear|runningGemini jacket|review|Skirt Sports|review

So why do I love it so much?

First of all, it’s reversible! One side has a soft fleece material that keeps me super warm. The “shiny” is wind proof and water proof. Win Win! I usually wear the shiny side out. I love the fashionable look of the shine and the relaxed yet contoured fit. The jacket hits right at the top of my butt so not too long or too short. I find the sleeves are the perfect length. The 2 side pockets are large enough to hold my phone and my keys. The back pocket can hold fuel or a phone as well. I find it’s the perfect jacket for temps in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

  • Reversible (wear fleece or laminate side out)
  • Front length (Medium): 26”
  • Semi-relaxed fit
  • Waterproof and wind-proof, breathable four-way stretch laminated fleece
  • Fabric is 100% Polyester and the weight is 130/gm/m2
  • Laminated side has two hand warming pockets and one 5” zippered back pocket on middle back
  • Fleece side has one chest pocket accessible from both sides
  • 1.5” droptail back
  • 3M ScotchlightTM Reflective Material elements for low light visibility

After wearing it constantly for the last few months, I realized I “needed” another Gemini! The black has a shiny stylish look that almost makes me feel like one of “The Pink Ladies” in Grease LOL. This is one of those jackets that I think looks way better on than it does in the photos. Seriously, if my husband knew I just bought another jacket! The reflective material in the black is way more noticeable which is a great feature.

It is really cute! Isn’t it funny how you pick one thing, and just wish you could wear it all day every day…..if people weren’t going to notice hahhaha! Love it 🙂

Yes I know and then I noticed that all my pics had the same jacket in them! It is so comfy though.

I can’t wait to get mine! You’ve totally sold me on this jacket LOL. (That and the fact that my other jacket was in the wash on one of the cold days…)

Very cute jacket. My favorite jacket at the moment is my Brooks Pure Project Shelter Jacket. It looks like a blazer with great reflective stripes, so it is great for early morning runs.

Ooh that sounds like a cool jacket too.

Very cute jacket. I don’t have a favorite jacket. I typically use a pullover but I don’t usually have to run in anything colder than upper 20s. I love the black grease jacket!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 1:12 pm

We don’t usually get colder than the 20’s either and this is perfect.

    02/06/2015 at 9:10 am

What a cute jacket! Love the color. I don’t have a favorite fitness jacket since I don’t workout outdoors but all these cute clothes make me almost want to take the plunge. 🙂

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 1:15 pm

Ha ha you could and should! What I like about them is that they are cute enough to wear around too

  9. Lesley says

    02/06/2015 at 9:37 am

When I lived in Boston, winter jackets were vital. I played a spring sport in college, which meant we were outside in the winter weather a lot. Layers and good quality was the way to go.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 1:18 pm

Yes layers are the way to go for sure!

  11. Diatta @ Femme Fitale Fit Club says

I am digging those leggings you are rocking! The jacket is cute too. I do not have a favorite Winter one because I have no plans to spend too much time outdoors. LOL

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 1:23 pm

Ha the grey leggings are also skirt sports. I love them!

  12. Fiona @ Get Fit Fiona says

    02/06/2015 at 10:42 am

The pink one is so cute!

I hate wearing clothes that don’t breathe. Feeling hot and muggy is the worst, especially when you’re working out, so it must be nice that this one is breathable.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 1:24 pm

I really love the material and find it is very breathable and perfect for running in. I also wear them around they are really stylish.

  13. [email protected] says

    02/06/2015 at 11:38 am

That jacket looks so warm for these colder Temps. I don’t have any jackets for running, I am always layering sweatshirts.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 1:26 pm

      Oh you need a jacket!!

  14. Debbie Rodrigues says

    02/06/2015 at 12:20 pm

It looks awesome and seems to be really warm.
I have to admit that I do not have good winter outfits to sport. Can you believe that I do not have a single pair of gloves?!?
Next year I will get organized on time. 😉

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 1:30 pm

What really? You need to go shopping girlfriend 🙂

  15. Jen says

    02/06/2015 at 12:44 pm

Cute jacket 🙂 I will wear anything that is warm! Usually layer up under my Boston Marathon jacket

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 1:31 pm

Well if I had one of those I’d probably wear it everyday! Even in the summer 🙂

  16. Nicole @ Fitful Focus says

    02/06/2015 at 1:24 pm

Love it! In both colors! Reversible things are the best because it’s like getting a twofer :). Thanks for joining the link up this week!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 8:18 pm

  23. Kathryn @ Dancing to Running says

Your jacket is absolutely adorable! I received an REI insulated vest for Christmas, and its becoming my go to when I need an extra layer during my runs, but don’t want to wear an actual jacket.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 8:18 pm

The weather has been so crazy here and cold that I really have come to rely on this one.

  24. Renee @ Bendiful Blog says

    02/06/2015 at 6:09 pm

That’s a cute jacket though! And do what I do never tell your husband what you buy until he asks LOL!

  25. Cassi says

I’ve never had a winter jacket. It never seems warm enough. Warmth and a hood are what I look for.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 8:22 pm

It depends where you live-this one works perfectly for me!

That jacket is so cute. The pink is definitely your color! My new favorite jacket is my NorthFace thermoball. In hot pink, of course…

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/06/2015 at 8:24 pm

Funny I have that one and I don’t find it warm enough. I like it but it’s not very warm

    02/06/2015 at 8:13 pm

  31. Lisa @ Lisa Runs for Cupcakes says

    02/07/2015 at 8:09 am

I really love Skirt Sports. I have honestly never really thought about getting a winter running jacket since I tend to warm up so much. If I need the extra warmth on those bitter cold days, I keep my core warm with a vest.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/07/2015 at 11:02 am

Vests are great too! It’s just been so cold I’ve loved having this jacket this year

  33. Stephanie (@FitMomTraining) says

That jacket looks awesome. I love that it’s reversible. The length looks perfect too. Most jackets are too short for my longish self.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/09/2015 at 12:44 pm

They are usually too long on me! This one is great though!

  34. Sharon says

You had me at Pink Lady. 🙂

    • Deborah Brooks says
