Thanks for joining Coco and me for the March Ultimate Coffee Date. These are always some of my favorite posts to write and to read. I love to dish with all of my virtual friends and see what’s going on in their lives. So grab your mugs and let’s get right to it!
March Ultimate Coffee Date
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I am excited to start the spring season of Girls on The Run this week. I will again be “running” the program at the local elementary school. I love to see how much progress the girls make throughout the season. Just warms my heart to work with them. The 10 week program always flies by and our 5K race will be in mid May.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…March is my 3 year “blogiversary”. Never would I have imagined that I would ever write a blog and think I would have anything to say that people would want to read. It’s really been quite the experience and I have learned so much. Most importantly, I am so grateful for all of the fabulous “virtual friends” I have made. To thank you all for your support, I will be hosting giveaways all month long for some of my favorite products. Here’s a coffee mug toast to many more years!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…Both my kids are in a great place right now which makes this mom very happy. I heard someone say the other day, “you are only as happy as your happiest child” and I think she’s right! I had a fabulous time visiting my daughter in Bloomington last weekend for her sorority mother daughter weekend. My son just made the Varsity Lacrosse team at his school and the first game is this weekend. Happy and proud mom.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…We hit the lottery! The Ragnar lottery that is. Our MRTT runners will be headed to California in November to run from San Francisco to Napa. I would love to run over the bridge. How fun is that?
Speaking of lotteries? Did you enter the TCS New York Marathon lottery? Did you get in? If not-don’t despair! There a few more ways you might score a bib of your own. 80K people entered the lottery and only 20K got in. Power Bar wants to give 17 lucky runners a second chance at getting in- a “clean start” so to speak. In conjunction with the release of their new Whey protein products, 17 runners will win a race bib, training tips from Power Bar athletes and racing gear. Find out more and enter for a chance to win here. Even if you did not enter the lottery, you can still enter here plead your case as to why you deserve a “clean start”.
This post was sponsored by Power Bar. All opinions are my own.
Let’s chat! If we were having coffee today, what would you tell me?

Oh, how I’ love that coffee meme! And, I have to agree with that Mom quote! Congrats to your son! You know we were a lax family. Maybe I could come watch a game on a warm spring day.
Oh that’s right! We would love it
I am glad you and the kids are doing well, it does make a Mom proud! Soak it all up! I am Ragnar jealous for sure- that is going to be an awesome adventure!
I hope you have the chance to do a Ragnar sometime they really are a blast. I hear the Florida Keys is good but hot. I guess you are used to that
I love that picture of you and your daughter! I bet you had such a great time together!
Congrats on 3 years of blogging. I didn’t realize you and I started around the same time. I thought you’d been at it much longer!
I do remember a lot of us bloggers starting around that same time. Yours was also one of the first I started reading
Congrats on your blogiversary! Girls on the Run sounds like a great program.
Thanks and yes it really is a fabulous program for the girls.
You’re so right about kids. Glad yours are doing so well. Lots to be proud of. Happy Blogiversary!
Thanks so much!
Now, if only I wanted to run a marathon. ๐
Congrats on the happy kids — as long as mama is happy, of course (cause if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy).
I know I am not the marathon girl either but the contest does sound fun doesn’t it?!
if we were having coffee this morning, i’d tell you im so proudddd of you for leading that elementary school program. grateful for online community too. have a lovely weekend.
I absolutely love to coach the younger girls it makes me so happy to see them achieve things they never thought they could
Congratulations for your blogiversary and Ragnar acceptance!! If we were having coffee, I’d tell you (and Coco) thanks for doing this fun blog link-up! I’m now planning on joining as often as possible. ๐
Fabulous! It’s really great to have you join us. Look forward to getting to know you
I so agree with that quote about happy children. Congrats to your son! Lax tryouts for my high schooler starts this week.
Happy blogiversary! It’s been great getting to know you these past 3 years. Now to just meet in real life ๐
Thanks for coffee!
Yes it would be great to meet in person one of these days!
Congrats to your son! I played women’s varsity field lacrosse at my university for 3 years while working towards my undergrad, and played three years of club after earning my degree, it’s a fun sport!!
It is such a fun sport! I commented on your blog earlier and I kept getting an error message not sure if it went through
You must be seriously such a fun mom to have. I have heard the expression, “You are only as happy as your least happy child.” If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I am doing my first triatholon sprint in one week. I’ve done zero training for the swim and bike (unless you count the one time I rode my bike for 20 minutes), but I’m just going to wing it and see what happens.
I can’t wait to hear how it goes! They are so much fun and kind of addictive. Hope you have a great time
Glad to hear that all are well in your family! Your daughter is so lucky to have a fit mom like you! ๐
I am in for NYC but I sent your link to friends who did not get in! Are you running?
No I am not a full marathon girl at this point just sharing the love
Congrats to your Ragnar team! Running from San Francisco to Napa sounds like so much fun!
I loved seeing your pictures from your mother/daughter weekend. It looks like you had such a great time!
Thanks for the linkup, and have a great rest of the weekend!
We did have a fun weekend thanks! Yes very excited to go to California
Happy blogiversary! I was just using your blog and Annemarie’s as examples of how someone can build their blog and make it amazing! I love reading your posts because you are genuine and never sold out to constant reviews and giveaways for followers. Know what I mean? Keep being you Deb. You are an inspiration.
You are so sweet thanks! It’s been great to connect with you
I agree with you on the happy kids comment. Very true. You always do such a good job with your GOTR kids I can’t imagine the reward you get knowing how much positive influence you have on them.
Thank you for the link up.
Thank you! I honestly get so much from the girls myself it really is so rewarding
I love that quote about the happiest child- so true! I love hearing of fun times with your kids, as they get older- I hope my girls and I have such a great relationship! The boys too, but the mom/daughter thing is special, I think~
The mom daughter relationship is great but my son and I have a different kind of closeness as well which is really sweet

I’ve wanted to run a Ragnar, maybe in 2018? Definitely on my bucket list! With NYC later this year, that’s my biggie for 2017.
