March Confessions and Runfessions- I’ve got a boatload

Oh March it’s been a challenging month! I’ve got a boatload of confessions and runfessions to share today. How much time do you have? Ha ha. Thanks to Marcia for hosting.

Runfessions

A Boatload of Confessions

I confess and Runfess…

I am more than a little disappointed that I will not be able to run my favorite race, The Cherry Blossom 10 miler this weekend. I’m not yet cleared to run over 4 miles yet. As I have mentioned, I feel totally fine but need to wait until some more tests are done next week. It would have been my 12th running of this race!

However, I am very excited to have both Kim and Cari coming to stay with me this weekend. We have some fun plans on tap and they will be a fabulous distraction for me. Really looking forward to seeing them both today! I will also be seeing Coco and Deb. You all know how much I love run blogger meet ups!

I confess and Runfess…

I’m continuing to try to focus on what I can do. Right now, that is run 3-4 miles. One of my MRTT friends challenged me to rediscover the everyday joy I find in running. So, I am doing an A to Z challenge to accomplish this. I started yesterday with “A”. A is for air, fresh air. There’s nothing better than starting off the day with some fresh air. (After coffee of course!) Want to join me!? Hop on in anytime.

I Confess and Runfess…

I had some kind of weird nightmare the other night and I found myself standing in the kitchen holding my Garmin. I don’t need Dr. Freud to figure that one out! My husband thought I was totally insane!

I confess and Runfess…

We have a little spring break getaway coming up and I could not be more ready to just getaway! More on that next week at our Ultimate Coffee Date. See you there!

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I know it’s a bummer to be missing Cherry Blossom – the blogger meet-ups will be a great distraction. Sorry too that I’ll be missing you all this weekend. Have fun!

Yes, it is a bummer to miss the race. We were just talking about you and wishing you were here!

Wow, you do have a fun weekend planned! Kim and Cari are staying with you? Sounds like a party. And Coco and Deb… you’ll be busy spectating even though you’re not running.
I love that A to Z challenge! It’s true… there’s more than one way to enjoy running. Some people can’t run at all, so I’m grateful for every day I can get out there. I’ll be interested to hear more as you go through the alphabet!

Yes, the ladies are staying with me. We are having fun so far 🙂

Well, that is a weird dream. Were you physically standing in the kitchen when you woke up or did you dream that you were standing in the kitchen holding your Garmin?

I love your A to Z running challenge. Sounds like a fun way to approach your runs!

See you in a few hours for our epic blogger meet-up! And looking forward to more time to chat than we had in Maine.

Oh man, the restriction on HR and exercise is a tough thing – especially missing your favorite race! Sorry about that. The DC flowers are beautiful. A few of my FB friends posted they are heading your way to see the blossoms. Looking forward to hearing about the fun you are having with all of the blogger friends!

Oh I’m bummed for you that you won’t be able to run CB10 this year but yay for an epic blogger meetup. I’m sure you’ll have fun. I hope all the heart issues get sorted and you’re up and running as much as you want to very soon. Hooray for a getaway! There’s no spring break travel for us this year but I just got my Malaria pills for a trip we’re taking in June. 😀

I know how it feels to miss your favorite race. I have another DNS on April 15.

    A vacation sounds like fun.

Hopefully one year I can run the cherry blossom. Glad I didn’t sign up this year as it turns out

You will have to run it sometime!

I hope you guys have a fantastic time this weekend, although I’m sorry you can’t run the race. That sucks. 🙁

Wow, so you actually sleep walked into your kitchen? I think Bandit would worry about me if I did that. Although you never know what that dog will/will not sleep through.

I’m glad you can run, even if you’re with me on those short runs right now.
