I’m back for another Weekly Wrap with Tricia and Hoho. My high cardio, endurance building phase continued this week so I am going to call this the Keep On Sweating week. Let’s see how it went down.

Monday

I woke up Monday rested and ready to take on the day. 30 minutes on the elliptical followed by 60 minutes of strength training with my trainer. Had a quick lunch with a friend for her birthday then back home for a 30 minute bike ride.

Tuesday

Chilly temps and some snow squalls did not stop me from getting out for a Valentine run with my favorite runners. Did an easy 4 miles then headed to the gym for a 40 minute swim. Luckily I had lots of Soup Club yumminess to refuel with before then jumping on the bike for 90 minutes. This was mentally tough to get through and I really did not want to do the bike today.

sweating it out

I kind of bribed myself with the fact that I would be eating a big yummy carb filled dinner for Valentine’s Day. I thoroughly enjoyed my huge plate of veggie lasagna and lovely dinner with my son and husband.

Wednesday

30 minutes elliptical followed by 90 minutes of strength training and kick boxing. Wednesdays are my favorite workout and I love the combination of kickboxing and strength training. I should mention that I did whine a bit to my trainer about whether this was working. He reminded me it’s only been a little over a week. Patience is not a virtue of mine.

Thursday

For a few weeks, my regular Thursday run has been replaced by a longer bike ride and elliptical. I headed to the gym and did a spin class then added on another 30 minutes to get the full 90 minutes. Finished up with  a 30 minute elliptical. By the end of the day, I was really starting to feel tired and my legs were just shot. Slept well that night!

Friday

I know part of this plan is to teach me to keep going on tired legs so- back to spin class today. I had a harder time today keeping up my usual cadence. I have about a half hour break before heading to swim class. I was supposed to do another 30 minutes on the elliptical after lunch but I ran out of time.

I met up with Erika to try on #AllTheSkirts. We had a blast modeling for each other and making our video. We do love our skirts!

Saturday

Celebrated the 4th Anniversary of our Moms Run This Town Group with a group run followed by breakfast. You all know how much I love my tribe and feel so blessed to have them in my life.

sweating it out

The good news is that my foot did not bother me at all on my run Saturday so maybe running just 2 days a week for now will help me get rid of the darn plantar fasciitus for good. So that’s my Weekly Wrap! For now I will just keep on sweating!

What was your favorite workout this week?

I have tried a new exercise equipment called kamagon ball. It’s quite fun. I recommend you should try it.

      02/19/2017 at 12:33 pm

You know I have seen it around and would love to try it

    Yep, the tired legs training. I can’t wait… :p

PS: I got the Shoe Hoodies! I won’t say I can’t wait to try them out because I want our gorgeous weather to stay forever. I’ll let you know when I use them.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/19/2017 at 3:51 pm

Yes the tired legs training in theory should work right?! Glad you received them and yes lets hope you don’t need them

You are really getting in some intense workouts! I think my favorite workout this week was my solo run on Friday, mainly because I’ve not run alone in quite awhile AND I was rather tickled knowing I could sleep in for a change on Saturday morning.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/19/2017 at 3:57 pm

Ah sleeping in sometimes is just heaven! Hope you are enjoying this fabulous weather today

  5. Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says

    02/19/2017 at 3:12 pm

My favorite was probably my run today. 🙂 Sun! Sun! It’s been too long.

Wow, 90 minutes on a bike? Can’t even imagine. I just hop on here & there, 5 minutes here, 10 there, 15 occasionally. Good thing I’m not a triathlete!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/19/2017 at 4:00 pm

Ah but you could be!! You could totally do it

      • Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says

        02/20/2017 at 8:18 am

I know I could — I don’t want to. Same as a marathon. Except I kind of wonder about a marathon (not so much a triathlon).

        • Deborah Brooks says

          02/20/2017 at 8:41 am

And I am the opposite! No desire at all to run the 26.2 just too long of a time. I think I would end up just hating running.

  6. Kimberly Hatting says

    02/19/2017 at 6:41 pm

Gosh…I see all your daily stuff, but it didn’t hit me HOW ACTIVE you are until seeing all of in one spot. Dang! I bet you sleep well at night! 😉

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/19/2017 at 11:09 pm

You know when I starting writing it all out the last few weeks, I thought maybe I looked a little crazy! Lately I have been sleeping well indeed

  7. Meranda@Fairytalesandfitness says

    02/19/2017 at 7:21 pm

I had to bribe myself to run on Tuesday too because of all the yummy valentines day treats I ate.

PS , I watched your skirt video the other day, cute!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/19/2017 at 11:09 pm

Ha thanks! I am not so comfy on the video yet 🙂

  8. Michelle @ Running with Attitude says

Great week of workouts! And yea for no foot pain! You’re smart to take it slow and not do too many runs.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/19/2017 at 11:12 pm

I miss the run days with the girls but I think it’s the best way to go for now

Way to rock a very active week! I’m exhausted just reading all this. Interesting how you’ve got elliptical in there. It must be working if your foot is feeling good!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/19/2017 at 11:15 pm

I like the elliptical sometimes it’s a nice easy sweat that I can do for a longer time. So far the foot is feeling a little better so I will keep going

You did do a lot of sweating this week! Great week! Loved the skirt review. Fingers crossed for you that your PF is gone.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/20/2017 at 8:27 am

Thanks! It is feeling better so I hope that doing a little less running will knock out before race season

  11. Mary Beth Jackson says

    02/20/2017 at 6:44 am

I think I am sweating just reading this! WOW! What a week! You are working it very hard! Coach has me doing back to back runs on the weekend and it doesn’t suck as bad as I thought it would- LOL! With all the nice weather here getting outside for some golf has been my highlight!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/20/2017 at 8:36 am

Back to back runs are tough and I wish I could try them but those darn feet of mine do not like them. I understand the training behind it so I hope it works for you. Have a great week

  12. Coco says

    02/20/2017 at 7:22 am

Oh, good news on your foot! I found dropping down to 3 days a week running really hepled keep injuries at bay — and now I’m down to 2 days plus OTF,

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/20/2017 at 8:37 am

It does really help me a lot but I really miss the time out there with the MRTT friends.

    02/20/2017 at 9:42 am

You had a fantastic cardio week with a great variety of workouts! I mostly cycled all week but it was a good cardio week for me too. How fun to try on the skirts with Erika. I love your fashion show! Also, congrats on your MRTT 4th anniversary. You certainly were successful in putting together a wonderful group of running friends. Thanks for linking, Deb!

    • Deborah Brooks says

Thanks so much HoHo I am so lucky to have them all in my life for sure

The kickboxing sounds like a challenge. I’ve never done that kind of class, but I’m sure it’ll help cross train. I did a boxing class once and my torso was so sore!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/20/2017 at 12:41 pm

Yes it really targets your obliques for sure

  15. Teresa says

    02/20/2017 at 5:53 pm

Girl, your high cardio workouts are making me tired just reading about them! 90 minutes on an indoor bike is tough ..really tough. Glad to hear the foot tolerated your runs well though ..that’s a good sign!

Oh, and the skirts are about as cute as you and Erika are in those pics! 🙂

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/20/2017 at 7:32 pm

WE had fun trying on all the skirts together
