June 2025 Ultimate Coffee Date

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

We went to see the new Tom Cruise Mission Impossible movie at an actual movie theater. It has been forever since we watched a movie in a theater! For so many years, going to movies was something we really enjoyed and then when covid happened, that abruptly stopped. Streaming movies just became so much easier especially because you can wear pajamas.

A movie like Mission Impossible is definitely made for the big screen. In fact, we saw the last Mission Impossible in a theater in Rome 2 summers ago. This time, we went to one of the really nice theaters with servers who took your dinner order at your seat. It was very civilized and surprisingly not crowded. While the movie was highly implausible, and a little long, it was fun. Plus, movie theater popcorn is so yummy!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

I have leaned into using Chat GPT more of late. A few times I’ve uploaded photos or asked for help creating captions for IG. It has great ideas! This one might be more of a confession but here goes…A few weeks ago, I asked Chat GPT to help me clean up and shorten my vows for our wedding renewal. It turned out fabulous! Ha! Have you been using Chat GPT? I never really thought that I would but if you can’t beat them, might as well join them!

I do again

That’s about it for me today! If we were having coffee what would you tell me?

Now that you mention it, I can’t even remember the last time I set foot in a movie theatre!
Mission Impossible sounds like the perfect excuse to change that.

I’ve been using ChatGPT for work emails – it’s a lifesaver for fine-tuning tone and wording. Just recently, I was ready to send a rather annoyed email to someone, and thankfully ChatGPT helped me dial it back to something a bit more professional. 😅

I recently downloaded Chat GPT on my phone, but had been using Gemini on my MacBook for a while. Great idea to use it to help fine tune your wedding vows! BTW, you guys look great!

I think we’ve been to a movie theater once since Covid. It’s a dying thing, sadly. I’ve not used chatGPT yet but a member of our extended family uses it for his Facebook posts and the flowery prose is completely over the top and so obviously not anything he would or could write. Haha! I’m sure he could tone it down but he goes with it.

ha ha It definitely gets to know your style the more info you give it

I’ve only been to see the Barbie Movie since Covid. I thought we’d see Wicked in the theatre but didn’t get around to it, and I just watched it on the plane.

I haven’t used Chat GPT much. I’ve used the Microsoft version (Copilot) for ideas for a conclusion paragraph of an article, and it did help.

I love that photo. That dress and those shoes are amazing!!!

Yes, sometimes it really is fun to see a movie IN A THEATER!
My son uses chatGPT all the time. Last time he was home he had to write an email to one of his professors, asking for a favor and after he wrote it, he ran it through chatGPT saying “make this sound more respectful.” And I have to say the result was great. I agree- if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em!

I’m not much of a movie-goer, it I did make it to Wicked (twice!) back in December. And, yes, the popcorn is the best!!!!

Now you have me wondering when was the last time I was in a movie theatre…I think it was for the Top Gun sequel. We used to love going to the movies but yes streaming is so much easier – and you can’t beat watching a movie in your PJs 🙂

I haven’t been to a movie theater in ages but big blockbusters like that are always better on screen!

I use Chat GPT for idea generation occasionally and then put it into my own voice. It’s a very good tool for that. But requires fact checking if it gives you any stats!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      06/06/2025 at 5:32 pm

      Definitely requires fact checking!

I haven’t been to a real theater in forever. Everything seems to be online.

I’ve played with Chatgpt but not lately. Glad it was useful to you. It can do everything!!

it was fun to go back to a theater for a change

I love going to the movies. We have the most amazing Cinemark near us that has heated, reclining seats, and you can preorder your popcorn and they deliver it right to your seat. My husband has a membership, so he gets rewards… whenever I want to go, he just gets me (or us) the tickets, usually for free, and off we go.

I used to go by myself all the time, and it was lovely. But I only like going when the movie has been out a little bit… crowded theaters make me anxious.

I really don’t use ChatGPT. I have seen Terminator and I know how it ends. I realize AI is here and I dabbled in the beginning, but it is going to destroy so many creatives, writers and artists, and I don’t support that. The minute Duolingo announced it was going to an AI team, I ditched it, and now that Michaels has released their design team in favor of AI, I don’t think I’ll be shopping there anymore. My husband loves it and uses it for everything, but I don’t think it’s going to end well.

ha yes we all know how it ends! I am embracing it for the time being

Did you like the movie? I haven’t been to the movie theatre since March 20202. I want to go this Summer to see Lili and Stitch. A friend of time told me years ago about Chat GP, but never got around to using it. Now I am curious about it. I love your dress and shoes!!!!
