Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. Halloween is different without my kids at home but I still got into the spirit this week. Hustling through Halloween!

Hustling Through Halloween Week

Sunday- rest day

We slept in and then took a rest day. I did get in my daily 10 min core to keep up my streak. Watching Eagles football with my husband and son was on the roster for the afternoon.

Monday- Peloton tread hike + core + full body strength

I was feeling very rested after a nice sleep in and ready to take on the week. I switched up my workouts last week and I’m currently in week 2  Andy’s Total Strength 2 program. After dong split training for a while, I was ready to mix it up by returning to full body strength 3-4 x week. I’m enjoying the endurance and metabolic style of training again.

Weekly run down

Tuesday- 3.4 mile run + walk + core + stretch

Hustling through the start of Halloween week. Admittedly, I was excited to pull out the first of my Halloween themed outfits.

Weekly run down

Wednesday-Peloton tread hike + full body strength + core + afternoon walk

Well, I’ve been waiting all month to pull out this costume again! I knew it would be too warm to run it this week.

Weekly run down

Thursday- 4 mile run/walk + core

We were hustling through Halloween today! I definitely got into the spirit today. I’m all about tapping into my own super powers. Happy Halloween!

Friday- tread hike + full body strength + core

Based on previous years, I knew we would not get any trick or treaters at our house. However, my husband insisted upon buying candy just in case. So, now we are stuck with candy that I don’t want in the house.

Anyway, I finished off the week with a good strength workout. This was my second week of Andy’s total strength 2  program.Hello November!

Saturday- Peloton core + 3 mile power walk + quick upper body

I am ready to start off November (my other favorite month) strong. It’s going to be a busy but fun one.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Love your Halloween tights! And you’re always Superwoman!

My husband insisted on buying full sized candy bars and only gave out a few — I think that was his plan though.

I think that was my husbands plan as well! We are totally onto them 🙂

Love the costumes! I have a Wonder Woman costume that is very running friendly, but I didn’t wear it this year. Good thing too, because that’s the day I had my wipe out in the woods…

We didn’t get a lot of trick or treaters either–it seems like it’s less and less every year. I pulled out all the Hershey’s and will take the rest to work lol

Yes I need to get them out of here. They really are not that good but when they are here hard to resist

You have some great Halloween themed workout outfits – I especially love the skeleton! I forgot to pull out my muscle capris, but I would have probably gotten too hot in them anyway. Looks like we’ve got another warm week on tap.

It was super warm! Great week to be outside around here with the sun daily too. My comments never seem to go through to your blog so hope you see them

It’s weird, your comments come through when it’s on a post that I haven’t linked up to a LinkUp you host. I never see them on the Weekly RunDown or Ultimate Coffee. I don’t know if it has to do with InLinkz or something else?

I have no idea why I have so much trouble commenting!

love the skeleton outfit!! I need a good costume for running. we had about 360 trick-or-treaters, and ran out of candy with a few minutes left, so it was a good night.

ah that’s the best so fun! I had trouble commenting on your blog today so hope you saw it

I love your Halloween spirit!!! And, I love how your husband bought candy just in case. That’s a sweet (no pun intended) thing to do- he didn’t want to disappoint any potential trick-or-treaters. We also have leftover candy- I’m taking it to work.

I think that was his plan all along 🙂

I’m living the Skeleton on the Peloton get-up! I need to find a costume like that (I’d seen them advertised, but not until it was too late). I had only two kids for trick-or-treating, so I have a ton of candy as well.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      11/03/2024 at 1:54 pm

I have to get rid of it so I don’t eat it

I love your Halloween style, particularly the skeleton! I know all about having unnecessary sweets at home… we used to buy sweets just in case but here we never have kids knock on the door (we live too remotely and along a main high traffic road) so we stopped doing it.

I hate being tempted by it in the house!

I spy a Miami Hurricane! Yay!

I love all of your Halloween outfits! So cute and I love how you get in the spirit!

Sounds like you had a wonderful week and so glad you are back on a strength plan you like!

Great costumes this week! We got a whole lot of kids trick or treating here. We were not prepared enough!! And, my husband may have been sampling the fun size chocolates all week.
