How To Keep Up Your Peloton Streak All summer long
You have worked hard to build and maintain your Peloton streak. Don’t let summer travel derail your excellent progress. Here are easy ways to keep up your streak. These tips have helped me keep up my streak for over 4 years
Airport Delays?
Stuck in the airport for longer than you anticipated? Pop on a Peloton walking class and stroll through the airport. Bring along your luggage for some creative strength training.
Family stress?
A quick Peloton meditation class can do wonders for stress. There are classes as short as 5 minutes.
Delayed on the runway?
Did you know there are some chair yoga classes you can do right in your airplane seat? Yes, it can be done.
No weights?
Visiting family or friends without any weights or a gym? Bodyweight classes are the way to go. There are hundreds of full-body and core classes available that don’t need any equipment. I am also a fan of the short Barre classes (no equipment needed).
Looking for some core work?
Why yes, I have done a few standing core classes at the airport gate. Why not?!
Don’t let summer travel derail your Peloton streak. Get creative with these easy ideas so you can come home just as fit and happy as when you left. How will you keep up your streak? Find me on the leaderboard @DeborahB.

That’s a great idea with the chair yoga!
Just last week I lost two days due to air travel… I did walk around at the airport to get steps in but I never thought of doing some exercises while sitting on the plane.
Deborah Brooks says
yes it works and it is a distraction of the annoyance of delayed flights

Interesting post. It’s very wise to find always the time to stay active in every situation.
When I am far from home I think how and where I can run but I have to learn to stay active too.
Deborah Brooks says
I do plan out my runs when I travel but I also like to have a few quick ideas in my arsenal

Walking around the airport is great! I’d be interested to see how chair yoga works on a plane!
Deborah Brooks says
I am going to try it soon!

You are so dedicated to peleton. I wish I could catch the bug. But thanks for all the suggestions.
Deborah Brooks says
I love how many easy ways there are to stay motivated and active with the platform. The workouts have made a huge difference for me

Great ideas and suggestions! While I’m not on the Peloton bandwagon (yet…I keep saying that LOL), I do try to keep a daily activity streak going. I’m a huge fan of body weight resistance exercises because they can be done pretty much anywhere (even in airports).
Deborah Brooks says
Yes, they sure can. One of these days we will get you on the Peloton app

Yes, this season can get really crazy but there’s really no excuse not to do a Peloton class! As you pointed out, you don’t need weights, workouts clothes, or a mat… i especially love the suggestion to do chair yoga on an airplane. I have to admit I’ve looked at those chair yoga classes and hoped I would never need them (imagining a big cast on my leg or something.) But if you’re stuck on an airplane and there’s nothing else, it would probably be pretty good!
Deborah Brooks says
That’s what I think too! Why not try it?!

There have been a few times where I’ve done a 5-10 minute meditation so that I can keep my streak alive 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
Nothing wrong with that!

Great tips, Deborah, and they can apply to pretty much anything fitness-wise, not just Peloton!
Deborah Brooks says
Yes definitely they can. A little bit can go a long way

to go with yours, all of which I hearily agree on, I’d add the stretching ones. Useful after a long flight or road trip to de-pretzel especially if, like me, you have a habit of run and then drive.
Deborah Brooks says
yes you know I love my stretch classes! I was thinking they might deserve their own post 🙂

The Peloton meditation option sounds like a great choice for keeping up the streak!
Deborah Brooks says
it is a great option

Great tips! I usually plan my rest days to fall on my travel days because I know it might be harder to work out those days. But once I am away I usually stick to my workouts.
Deborah Brooks says
It always helps me to keep up with my normal schedule as much as possible
Darlene S. Cardillo says
Thanks for the tips. They apply to anything fitness wise even if you don’t use Peleton.
Deborah Brooks says
absolutely they do!

Yes, there are so many options, you can always find a class that fits your situation. i’ve heard of other people doing chair yoga on an airplane! And airport walking with luggage would be a good improvised strength session.

Airports (and travel, in general) stress me out, so the meditations would be great! I’ve even dropped to the floor and done planking in airports, believe it or not 😉
Deborah Brooks says
Oh, I believe it!
Jenn says
Love that there are so many options to keep you going! Peloton is really great for those long-term goals, by making things so accessible.
Deborah Brooks says
