Sure you could hunker down all winter under warm flannel blankets but what fun would that be? I am all about getting outside and embracing all the fun fitness activities winter has to offer. Last winter, I fell in love with snowshoeing and found it to be a great workout.
Of course you have to dress the part! I found all the winter essentials I need to stay warm & comfy on Sierra Trading Post where all the gear is always reduced significantly from retail. I couldn’t believe all the great bargains I found for the whole family.

I don’t really get to do outdoor winter sports as florida doesn’t get snow! I do like being outside more this time of year because the weather is much better. It was cool and breezy for last night’s run!

Well…since you’re asking….my favorite outdoor winter sport? Running! (you probably didn’t see that coming, did you?) I love being outside (even when the wind is frigidly smacking me between the eyes). Most of my outdoor runs are less than an hour long, so the cold temps are bearable.
I love running in the winter as well but last year I trekked around in my snowshoes in the deep snow and it was a great workout
When I get a chance I love cross country skiing and snow showshoeing!!
they are so much fun!
Hmm, I need the jacket and the camelback for sure, lol. I just peruse gift guides as shopping lists! But it’s seriously cold here already. 27 was the high the other day.
