Hello June Weekly run down

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the Weekly Run Down. Wow, May just flew by! Hello June! This week was all about trying to get back on schedule.

weekly run down

Hello June

Sunday- Peloton Power walk + core

I hit the hotel gym again for a Peloton power walk and core class. We spent most of the day hanging out by the pool and relaxing and reading.

Monday-fly home

Another early morning wake up to catch our flight. I did a short airport walk and that’s about it today. Looking forward to getting back on schedule tomorrow. We arrived home right before some crazy storms.

Tuesday -3.5 mile run + 1 mile walk

It was a tough wake up this morning with the time change but I was determined to get out there with my squad. While I do love to travel, it does always feel good to get back on schedule.

Wednesday -Peloton hike + core + upper & lower body strength + barre + foam roll

This long and varied strength training day was just what I needed. I’ve felt a little off my game of late and today helped.

Later, I headed to my FBI class. I can’t believe how fast this program has flown by with just one more week left. This week we got to play with all the “special teams” gear outside. I had fun trying on the SWAT team gear.

Thursday- 4.75 mile run/walk + stretch

After numerous storms yesterday, we were treated to a beautiful day for running.

Weekly run down

Friday 3 mile power peloton walk

I had a bunch of house things to do today with my hubs. We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and got in a nice power walk.

Saturday- 3 mile power walk

It was another gorgeous day with sun and low humidity and I took advantage of a hilly outdoor walk. Also earned my Peloton 9k badge. We spent the afternoon getting the pool area set up for the season and reading by the pool. Just perfect!

Weekly run down

A little bit less activity than my usual week but I’ll take it! Hello June ready to get back on track.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

If you hadn’t said anything, I wouldn’t have known you had less activity this week. Looks like you were busy! Your FBI academy sounds so interesting! What will you do with all the training after it’s done?

    Have a great week!

Welcome home! I feel you on routines

Ha it was a tough decision but I am reading an older Baldaci book that I know I can finish by the time our Elin book comes out 🙂

I like how you jumped right back into things after your trip- that’s the way to do it! I love hearing about your FBI class. I just finished a book, The Expats- where the FBI and CIA played a major roll, and it also talked about the rivalry between the two agencies (cops vs. spies.) Of course this was FICTION, but it was still fun to read about.
Your weather sounds beautiful! I hope you’re spending the day reading by the pool.

It has been fun to learn more about how the FBI works and I love to read books like that as well. There have also been a bunch of good Netflix shows with those themes

I’m glad to hear you had some decent weather this week…seems like it’s gotten really hot and humid already there. Yeah, I’m in agreement that it looked like an active week, but glad you found it restful. I’m looking forward to a bit of a scale-back this week since my 13.1 is done (though this morning began with an almost 40-mile ride, LOL).

      that sounds relaxing lol

That FBI class sounds really cool. I bet now you will be pointing out how the movies & TV shows are incorrect when they portrait different FBI things happening! You’ll be saying “well when I was with the FBI we did it totally different. This is lame.” 🙂 Well, at least that’s what my husband and I do with computer stuff in movies!
Being back in routine after traveling is a really nice thing. Glad you are getting back at it!

haha yes, I am already doing that!

Looks like your June had a nice, easy start! You look absoutely adorable in your SWAT gear! I can’t wait to hear your final thoughts of your class!

    Hope this month is fantastic!

Look at how cool you look in the SWAT gear… was it “heavy”??

    Congratulations on 9k! That’s huge!

yes so heavy! And thanks plugging along and the milestones are always fun
