Grateful and Thankful Weekly Run Down

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week I am extra thankful and grateful to be given extra time to spend with my family. My newly engaged daughter and her fiancé are here for the week. While my son lives close to me, I am also granted some extra time with him this week. This mama has a full heart and full house.

Weekly run down

Sunday- Peloton walk + Pvolve lower body strength + core

I started off with a weighted vest walk on the tread and then it happened.I cheated on Peloton! I’ve been eyeing the Pvolve workouts for a while. When I saw that they were on the Black Friday sale, I hit add to cart. I’m planning to use it for a few weeks before doing a full review.

Weekly run down

Monday- Tread walk + full body strength

I started off my morning with a weighted vest walk on the tread followed by a 45 min full body workout. Later, my daughter and I went to our first wedding venue appointments. It is going to be a fun and exhausting process!

Tuesday-planned rest day + barre

We had another full day of visiting potential wedding venues downtown. I made sure to get in my barre class for the Peloton check mark. A long but productive day! I also started setting my tables for Thursday.

I was super excited that I found these fun personalized place settings on Etsy. They really added a great touch and it’s not too late to order them for Christmas or Hanukkah. Find them here.

Wednesday – 3 mile power walk + lower body + core strength

We all had a nice sleep in! I hit the my favorite hill for a nice 3 mile weighted vest walk with Peloton. Later, I started the PVOLVE 4 week getting started calendar. Learning to be a beginner is hard for me! We spent the rest of the day prepping for Thanksgiving.

Thursday-Peloton hike +full body strength + core

It was raining and cold so I opted for an indoor efficient workout before doing some Thanksgiving prep. We had a slightly smaller crew this year and it was really nice.

Friday-45 min tread walk + core

I was pretty wiped from yesterday but movement always feels good! We dropped our daughter back to the airport and I spent the rest of the day trying to get things back in order.

Saturday- Pvolve upper body + Peloton core + 3 mile walk

We woke up to a blast of winter air today! I did some strength and core in the morning and then met a friend for a bundled up walk.

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am grateful and thankful to have spent mine with those I love.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I can’t imagine how people face all that wedding planning – we kept ours minute and simple and that was enough for me! Hope you have fun with it all. And I love your turkey outfit! I’m so behind with blogs I’m doing all the running posts before all the others, saying hello to everyone and seeing how you all are.

What a fun week. Wedding planning is exciting! I haven’t heard of Pvolve, but I see Jennifer Aniston is a fan. Very beautiful dining table. Those place markers are super cute! And of course the turkey gloves are adorable. I could have used those on my turkey trot!
