I am kind of late to the game with the trendy, must have Aftershokz headphones. When I was offered a pair of Aftershokz Trekz Air as part of their #GiveGoodVibes campaign, I jumped at the chance to participate. After all, my favorite part of the holiday season is shopping for and giving out gifts that make other people smile.
I was provided 2 pairs of Aftershokz headphones in exchange for an honest review as part of my BibRave Pro ambassadorship. All opinions are my own.
These innovative wireless headphones sit on the top of your ears but the earphone piece rests on your cheek. That’s right, the audio is heard through bone conduction technology instead of from inside your ear. The sound quality is fantastic and very clear and crisp.
I love the fact that I can listen to my music or a podcast and still be able to hear what is going on around me. While, I don’t normally run with music, I enjoy listening to podcasts and music while sweating it out at the gym or on a walk. The Aftershokz Trekz air are so light (1.06 ounces) I pretty much forget they are on. There are no wires to get tangled up in my hair or interfere with the equipment.
Aftershokz headphones come in their own neoprene case so they won’t get lost or damaged in your bag. Tech challenged like I am? Not to worry these headphones are so easy to pair with your phone, it can be done in seconds.
This brings me to the #GiveGoodVibes Campaign. In the spirit of the holidays, I received a pair of Trekz titaniums to give away to a friend. I noticed my friend, Coco, had been posting she was interested in Aftershokz. Knowing that she runs early mornings, I thought she would the perfect friend to #GiveGoodVibes to. Here’s hoping that she will be a little safer out there while being able to hear what is going on around her. I “hear” she loves them.
How are you giving #GoodVibes this season? Tried Aftershokz?
Linking up Fairytales and fitness
I love my Trekz! Glad you and Coco are enjoying them too!
WE both are! Don’t know why I waited so long to try them
I was so thrilled that you picked me! I definitely love not having to deal with tangling earbud cords, and I do need to be able to hear what’s going on around me — although Scooby still hears squirrels first. 😉 They were super easy to set up. Plus I love the little icon that appears on my phone when they are paired, so I know they will work.
I am so glad that you love them and that I was able to give you #goodvibes
You’re killing me with this review haha. I saw their Give Good Vibes campaign on Black Friday so I caved and ordered a pair for Alex and thought I might keep the other pair for myself. Sadly I can’t break them out until after Christmas but I’m dying to. So glad you have nothing but positive things to say!
ha ha you can act surprised when you give them to yourself! LOL I always do that too by the way. Best way to get what you want
They sound very interesting! Most of the time when I’m wearing headphones I don’t want to hear what’s going on around me however. So I’m not sure I’d like these
It’s a personal preference really. If you are running or biking it is definitely safer to hear cars or cyclists around you. I’ve almost hit runners (when I was on my bike) because they don’t hear me say I am passing.
I have not tried Aftershokz. I know this is not common, but I never run with music. I’m a minimalist runner. Or just old-fashioned! 🙂
I normally don’t run w music either but I do like it in the gym and when I am doing things around the house
I need to start using these headphones again. i forgot how much I liked them 🙂
I love their #GiveGoodVibes Campaign and so awesome that you were able to gift a pair to Coco!
It was a fun campaign to be a part of
I was lucky to receive that in the swag bag from the AMR retreat — I don’t actually run with music, but then again, I’m up early & Mr. Judy is not so they can come in handy.
The only problem I have is finding the little button for the volume once they’re on — that and my hair tends to get in the way.
But they are pretty awesome! Those are minor things.
The button is a little hard to find. I adjusted the volume and then set them in place
Great review! I LOVE my Aftershokz Air headphones! I don’t run with music a lot, since I run with a group, but when I do run solo, it’s the only headphone I use.
yes me too. I like to use them for the gym and for walks
Awh, lucky CoCo!!! 😉 I am probably the only remaining runner who does not have these LOL And my Ipod Shuffle is approaching the rainbow bridge…..maybe it’s time to seek them out, huh!
I was excited to try them after reading how much everyone else loves them. Ipod shuffle huh?!
I recently picked up a super cheap – but broken – pair of Aftershokz at the REI garage sale hoping my husband could repair them. Then found out they were still under warranty, so waiting for a new pair to arrive so I can try them out! Great warranty & customer service also.
oh wow great find!
I don’t like wearing earbuds/headphones, so these sound like a great alternative!
They are really comfortable and work very well
No but I want them!!!!!!!!!!!
WE need to redo our bathroom so no gifts this year.
Well that’s a great gift too!
Yay! Aftershokz = my favorite headphones ever. I love love love that I don’t have to stick anything in my ears and yay for them being so light! <3 Glad you're loving yours too!
Yes I agree and I am loving them too.
I’m probably the only runner that still wears traditional headphones and uses an ipod…Haha. my sister has these though and loves them! Glad you are enjoying them.
Thanks for linking up with us! -M
That’s ok to rock it old school!
Ooh they’ve come out with a new case for them. #CaseLust
I love my Aftershokz, game changers as far as listening to the world and also not getting swimmers’ ear from sweaty earbuds
Yes I love the case very protective
