You may have read my post the other day about some of my current bad running habits. One of them, is not stretching enough or doing enough injury prevention. When I was recently offered the chance to test out the Addaday Pro massager, I knew it was perfect timing to give my running habits a second look. I received the Addaday Pro Massager as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews.
Addaday Pro Massager
The Addaday Pro Massager is unique in that it offers both medium and softer density massage in the same product. The different color knobs on the stick are coded to identify if they are geared toward harder or more medium self massage.
I do like options! The Addaday Pro massager is designed to be used in a back and forth, side to side, or in a circular motion giving users lots of options to tackle their own muscle hot spots. You can find a few quick tutorial videos on how to use your Addaday here.
What did I like about the Addaday Pro massager?
I appreciate the differing pressure options this massager offers. I was able to use the softer blue knobs on my more sensitive shin area getting just enough pressure. The small red roller was perfect for my heels and ball of my feet. I placed the roller on the floor and used it that way to massage my feet back and forth. Having suffered from PF a number of times, I need to take special care of my arches.
I found this quick you tube tutorial on gluteal massage especially helpful. Using the roller in a side to side motion offers another level of relief from tight muscles.

They are a little different than the others I have. At least it got me to use it this week
Marcia says
You’re right: One can never have too many torture devices! Haha! This one looks cool.
Deborah Brooks says
Indeed!
Maureen @ Maureen Gets Real says
This looks perfect for travel. Being able to get different levels of pressure in one tool is so convenient.
Deborah Brooks says
That is definitely a plus for me!
Karen says
This sounds like a good one to have! I’m adding it to my list. Great review! 🙂
Deborah Brooks says

Im not sure what brand they are, but there are always dozen of these things laying around at my sisters gymnastics gym. Apparently a huge hit with gymnasts. They are always using them on themselves and each other moaning as they do in delight. LOL it is an interesting sight to see……and hear.
Deborah Brooks says
ha ha I can just picture it now!
Debbie says
A lot of people don’t realize they should be doing side to side movements when they roll. This sounds like a great tool.
Deborah Brooks says
I never did any side to side movements before either. I am newly intrigued with rolling now

I’ve had my addaday massager for a few years and I absolutely love it. Also I can usually fit it in my carry on suitcase (if I put it in on a diagonal) so I love that I can bring it with me on my racecations.
Deborah Brooks says
Yes travel friendly is a great plus for sure.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Having different hardness sounds really interesting! And yes, I have many torture devices.
Deborah Brooks says
You cannot have too many!

I visited an orthopedist a week ago. One of his recommendations is that I get a massage once/week. I love it, but sooo expensive! This may be a better option. Thanks for the recommendation.
Deborah Brooks says
Massage therapy is so good but yes expensive. I have found a woman who does it in her home and it’s much less expensive. Ask around!
Lacey@fairytalesandfitness says
I have the stick and that is similar to this but this would be nice for the difference pressure options. I like recovery tools but I enjoy them even better when someone is doing it on my rather than myself….haha.
Deborah Brooks says
Well yes it’s always nice when someone will do it for you!
Kimberly Hatting says
I have a very similar rolling stick with several wooden beads…I kind of prefer that to the foam roller because it’s more transportable and I think I have more control with it for trigger points.
Deborah Brooks says
Yes I am enjoying it so far for those same reasons
Abbey Sharp says
Looks like this massager can be really beneficial for people. Thanks for the great review
