Thanks for joining me and Coco for the Ultimate Coffee Date today. I love these posts and they are such a fun way to catch up on everything. Brr it’s cold outside this weekend so grab your blankets and your mugs and let’s chit chat!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…Is it just me or does January kind of feel like a Monday every single day? The first few weeks were trying to sugar detox from the holidays and get back to my regular eating plan. Most of the days were gray and cold and well, I am glad to see January go.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…today I am running my first race of 2107. As you are reading this I am doing the For The Love of it 10K . It’s a hilly course but lots of fun and Valentine’s Day themed. There is always a huge MRTT contingent from all over the area which leads me to the next thing I am going to tell you.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I am finally going to meet up with Deb from Deb Runs today at the 1oK. We have been following each others’ blogs for years and we have never met in person. We only live about 45 minutes away from each other. We are meeting up for coffee after the race with a bunch of other MRTT members from her chapter. I am so excited it’s like a real in person live Ultimate Coffee Date!!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…After taking off of swimming and biking in December, I have now started my base building phase for my spring tri races. I started back swimming twice a week and biking indoors twice a week in January. It just kind of hit me today that I am wiped out. I know I will get used to the schedule again but wow I am tired.
So if we were having coffee today, what would you tell me?

Good luck with your 10K! I am running my Zooma run love challenge 10K this morning 🙂 Your real live coffee date sounds like so much fun! I will make it to your neck of the woods one day!
I certainly hope so!!
Can’t wait! See you in an hour!
Good luck today! I’d like to meet both of the Debs….
How much fun would that be!? Thanks for stopping in for coffee have a great weekend
Have fun at the 10K! January was the longest. month. ever. EVER, I tell you! I feel like 2016 was decades ago, not just a few weeks!
I know! I am hoping this month goes much more smoothly for both of us
So awesome you get to have an actual RL coffee date! I wish more of our regular bloggers lived within driving distance of me. Or came to visit. But I wouldn’t want to visit here, either. Have fun! Don’t forget the photos!
I think February is always the worst month. Spring is coming . . . except it’s really not.
you always make me laugh! Yes real coffee dates are needed more. Let’s try to work on that
If we were having coffee, I’d want to give you a big “good luck” hug and wish you well at your race! And, I LOVE that pic of the cozy image with the leg warmers and comfy everything 😉
It got so cold today I am all about the warm and cozy! Thanks for the virtual hug xoxo and for joining for coffee today
It occurred to me that I didn’t know what MRTT was- even though you blog about it, I seem to have forgotten this morning (not enough coffee) so I googled and there is a chapter near me! So excited to maybe get with a group- I think it would be wonderful for those longer runs especially! Love your pool pic! When you said you are tired, my red flags always go to adrenals- I got low one year and it takes so long to come back from that fatigue- got to nip it in the bud and rest and repair!! AKA: sleep more! Thanks for the great link up, I always love this~ have a great afternoon!
OMG I am so excited for you to join MRTT!!! You will love love it Keep me posted
I will~ so far just reached out to FB~ I would love to connect with a group for runs!
Great I hope it works out for you!
Good luck today at the race! How fun it is you will get to meet Deb too. I hope to do a few sprint triathlons this summer and am back on my bike. But, the swimming part is so awkward for me. You look right at home in the pool! Thanks for coffee, Deborah!
Ha I don’t know about that! I am much more comfortable in a pool than in open water for sure.
Hope your 10K went well! And so fun to be meeting Deb in person!
Thanks for the link-up!
It was a chilly run this morning for sure but fun as always!
Agreed! I feel January went speedy quick, but it was a Monday every single day. Hoping for February to be a bit lighter and get back to some healthy eating!
Yes to a less stressful month!
I hope your race went well. So fun to have a real coffee date with running friends!
Yes to real in person coffee dates lets do one soon!
Well I’d say it’s about time you and Deb meet up then! Can’t wait to see pictures 🙂
I’ve already signed up for two 10k’s next month …one super hilly and one flat. I think I like this distance, enough of a challenge but over fairly quickly. Good luck with yours!
Swimming …..ugh, it wipes me out completely which is why I haven’t done it in years….which is why it wipes me out. Vicious cycle!
10K’s are probably my favorite distance. Easy to train for and does not wipe you out for the whole day
If we were having coffee, my 13 year old son will be running his first half-marathon with me on Feb 12th… I’m so excited.
Oh wow that is epic! Can’t wait to hear all about it. What an inspiration you are to him
How fun to have a real LIVE coffee date! I’m a little jealous! haha
Good luck with your Tri training!
It was so fun to meet up and I am always up for coffee
It’s always exciting to meet a blogger that you enjoy, I’m looking forward to finally meeting you this year!
January was a weird month…I think there were too many days off, it was hard to adjust! Hopefully February is much better!
I hope we get to meet this year too!
I am right there on the January blahs. The grey really took a toll on me. I’ve been swimming twice and spinning once a week and that’s got me wiped out too. Can’t wait to hear how your race went!
I forgot how hard all the tri training is!
Hope you had a great time at your race!
It was freezing today but fun!
Hope your race went well and love meeting bloggers IRL!
I would tell you that I haven’t run any races this year yet and I’m jonesing to get back to them!
Definitely fun to meet up in real life! I suspect you will find one soon. It’s hard to stay away
A friend of mine is a member of MRTT. She has asked me to join but I have always been intimidated by running groups. I totally know it is in my head!
oh my goodness! You have to do it! Best thing I ever did and best friends ever. Do it-peer pressure 🙂
Yay for blogger meetups! I hope you have a lot of fun–that’s awesome that you two don’t live that far away from each other! :]
Best of luck to you on getting back into a training schedule! I’m in the same boat!
Yes blogger meet ups are the best!
Thank you for hosting a great link up! Good Luck!!
Thanks for joining us
How did your 10K go? My first race of the season isn’t till next month. A swim sounds like a perfect thing to do after a cold run, or any run for that matter. After my last half marathon I couldn’t wait to get into the hotel pool. It felt so good after running 13.1 miles!
How fun to get to meet other bloggers that you follow!
The run was not so good my foot was bothering me but it was great to meet up with Deb and others and hang out.Yes I do love the swims right now
January isn’t my favorite month either! How fun that you got a real life coffee date… meeting virtual friends in person is so much fun.
It really is such a treat
