thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week had me crushing through the Mediterranean with a bunch of friends. I tried to keep moving while taking advantage of all the sights and foods. Here is a peek into my week.
Cruising Through The Med Weekly Run Down
Sunday-upper body strength and tread walk
I wanted to get a few steps in before hading into St Tropez for the day. We wandered through quaint streets and beautiful shoppes in the small town before enjoying lunch with a gorgeous view.
Monday-Tread walk
Today we walked up the hill in Monaco to see the changing of the guards at the Prince’s Palace. I do love the old tradition and it’s fun to see. Monaco is very chic, quaint and modern. In the evening we headed back out to the famous Monte Carlo Casino where we donated a few Euros 🙂
Tuesday-full body strength
After a short full body strength class we arrived in Positano, Italy. We spent a few hours touring around this super cute seaside village and of course sampling the obligatory pizza. I also tried an affogato for the first time. I had no idea what I was missing! Espresso topped with vanilla gelato yes please. It was also a lot cooler today!
Wednesday- Touring Elba
No formal exercise today as we headed out early to tour the isle of Elba. Not sure how Napoleon felt, but I wouldn’t mind being exiled here for a while. It was fun to see the residence and some of the art from the early 1500’s where Napoleon lived. Later, we had a fantastic lunch with local wine on the beach.
Thursday-morning hike and grottos tour
We arrived in Sardinia this morning and took 4 x 4 ‘s up to the top of a mountain and basically hiked down to a beach. It was rocky and technical at times but fun.
Later in the afternoon, we visited the grottos for a really cool tour through the caves where we saw stalagmites and stalactites and learned a lot about the history.
Friday-upper body strength and tread walk
We were on north side of Sardinia today walking through quaint little towns and wondering through shoppes.
Saturday-tread walk/hike
Enjoying our last day of our trip in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. We had a fun celebration sighting see Sophia Vagara on the beach where we were having lunch at a hotel.
