It is not easy to recap this epic event put on by Brooks Running for their ambassadors. The 2024 Hype Fest was a whirlwind weekend of fun, friends and of course running. Here’s a snapshot of all the happenings. Participation in this event was gifted by Brooks running.
Brooks Hype Fest 2024 Chicago
This year’s Hype Fest was the 3rd in person ambassador retreat for Brooks Running. Have to say, they keep getting better! Current ambassadors in good standing are invited to attend with meals, lodging and lots of swag included.
Weekend highlights
After checking in to the beautiful Pendry Hotel downtown, we were gifted a bag of goodies filled with all the gear we needed to rep our favorite brand all weekend. Check out just a few of my fabulous pieces.

I arrived just in time to jump into the Friday night run in Brooks’ new High Visibility line. We lit up the night as we ran and walked along the iconic Lake Shore Drive path. It was quite the group of around 150 that made our presence known. I had a chance to catch up with my favorite Brooks Running ambassador, Wendy.
Afterwards, we had a group dinner in the hotel with some mingling and mixing.
Saturday
Up and at it early bird style with a 7 am run/walk. Admittedly, tough wake for me especially since I had come in from the west coast the night before. Our big group ran and walked down to Navy Pier for some group fun. We waived our Brooks flag, did some fun drone photos and really just enjoyed being together.
Afternoon Arts City Walk- 3+ miles
This fun tour of Chicago’s art sculptures was lead by Wendy and was such a great way to see all the city highlights. A few of my favorite pics from the tour.
20’s party
This was the highlight of the weekend! It was so much fun to dress up 20’s style and have a dance party at a cool club downtown. Everyone really got into their costumes!
Sunday
Admittedly, I was pretty wiped and slept through the morning yoga class. I did however, have the chance for a coffee date with my favorite Chicago runners (Wendy, Erica and Cynthia).
Later, I had lunch with my daughter before flying home. I left with a happy ❤️ heart and a very tired body. The best way to end a great trip!
Brooks knows how to put on a great party and totally take care of their ambassadors. So thankful to be an alumni member of the crew. Hype Fest 2024 was a huge success. Thank you Brooks Running!

They do a fab job of balancing things out in a short amount of time. At the last minute we found out that everyone was gifted their own room so we did not but we did hang out a lot together
Looks like another great weekend! Maybe one of these years I’ll make it there. (Or maybe it will take place in Baltimore so I can participate without having to travel and take off of work 😂 ) So glad you all had a great time!

I so wish I could wear Brooks but my feet say NO WAY! I do wear their tops and caps.
They don’t announce the location until spring but I hope to attend!

Wow that really is amazing – what a fun event! So happy you got to attend and meet so many fellow runners that you’ve gotten to know over the years. I applied for the ambassadorship last year but sadly didn’t get in… I would love to attend a runner’s even like that. So much fun and camaraderie!
