Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. After many fabulous birthday celebrations, I was ready to get back to my regular workouts and eating plan. Let’s see how I did!

Back At It Weekly Run Down

Sunday-3 mile power walk + core class

It was a super late night last night at my niece’s bat mitzvah celebration. Look how great my mom looks at 79! This morning we awoke to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We both feel so blessed to have been able to celebrate our birthday weekend with our kids and their loves.

Monday-tread hike + full body strength + core + stretch

I was so ready to get back to my regular workouts schedule today! It felt really good. Later, I went to my parents house to help them with a bunch of things.

Tuesday-tread hike + full body strength + stretch

I started off with a tread hike and moved into a full body strength class. Later, we had another Mahjong lesson and my team won our first game! yay!

Wednesday-core + upper body strength + power walk

A Longer 20 min core class was a nice challenge followed by a very spicy upper body class (in a good way). After lunch, I met a friend for a chilly power walk with our weighted vests.

Thursday-power walk and core + full body strength

I know I did these workouts because I see them in my Peloton history but I can’t remember anything about them!

Friday-Power walk + 45 min turkey burn full body strength

I met a friend a for a morning power walk and then hit up the turkey burn 45 full body strength class. I then spent the afternoon power shopping Black Friday sales-does that count?

Saturday-core class + power walk

I met a friend for an early mani pedi date. Later, we started grocery shopping and organizing for Thanksgiving. I can’t believe it’s time to shop, cook and plan for Turkey Day already! It’s going to be a busy week ahead around here! We are hosting of course!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Hope you are surrounded by those you love 💕 Are you hosting? What is your favorite dish on Thanksgivign?

      11/23/2025 at 9:44 am

Thanks and I would rather host than sit in the car for 20 hours! That’s my worst thing!

Not only does your mom look good, but you look great! I love the color of that dress. It looks like lots of family time for you, which is always the best. I see your daughter is a Chicago Bears fan now…. lol

Thanks she does look amazing and I did really love my dress. My daughter could not leave her fiancé alone on the Bears! We have a real rivalry this week with the Eagles playing the Bears!

You have great genes. You and your mom look great.

I played that hand on Friday!! Do you play in teams? Do you like it?

I think it’s stuffing and pie.

      11/23/2025 at 9:46 am

I do have good genes in that department! My mom’s mom was a stunner! Since we are just learning Mahjong, we have started out on teams to get the hang of it

It’s nice to get back to normal- you’ve had a lot of extra celebrations lately! And of course you’re hosting Thanksgiving- you will do it beautifully. I’m also “hosting” Thanksgiving (for the four of us, lol) and I haven’t started any prep yet. That’s what today is all about!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      11/23/2025 at 9:49 am

Lots going on this week! Your mom and you both looked gorgeous, and I hope you had a wonderful weekend of celebration.

We are hosting this year again. It’s always fun, but it is a lot of work. I think the stuffing is always my favorite. I don’t know why. Spinach patties are a close second. I’m really there for the sides.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      11/23/2025 at 4:46 pm

It is a lot of work! I am all about the sides too and I am trying a few new things

Your purple dress is gorgeous! And your mom certainly looks great! I hope Thanksgiving week will be good for you. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving so all will be normal here.

I am hosting Thanksgiving this year! I’m looking forward to it. I went shopping with my husband and he picked out a 23 lb turkey!! I did not see it until we got home. yikes. He loves turkey. I didn’t think it was going to fit in the oven, but it *barely* did. Fingers crossed it all turns out well. 🙂
