Thanks for joining Coco and me for the April Ultimate Coffee Date. I so look forward to these virtual coffee dates and love to read about what you are all up to. So let’s grab our mugs and get right to it.
April Ultimate Coffee Date
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I love the new spring Starbucks cups. Now if mother nature could just cooperate with us and let us have actual spring it would be great. This back and forth in temps is so frustrating.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you...My Girls on The Run team is off to a great start. While I oversee the whole program at the school, I work with the 6th graders each week. I love this age! My team of girls is very motivated and they have set some fun goals for the season. Our program is 10 weeks long and we are working towards our 5K at the end of May.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I ran on the treadmill yesterday and did not hate it. I woke up to another morning storm and torrential rain so I pretty much had no choice. I popped in my headphones and before I knew I had finished my speed workout. Now if I could just get all of my friends could just run right next to me and chit chat it would be perfect.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…Remember that group bike that I got the nerve up to join last week? I am going back to do it again today. Sounds like I may get some of my MRTT friends to join in this time. The past few weeks I’ve realized that “I can do hard things” I just have to give myself the chance. Easier said than done of course but something I am going to keep working on.
If we were having coffee, what would you tell me? What have you realized that you can do lately?

I am so ready for real spring weather! I so hope Mother Nature doesn’t throw the hot and humid stuff at us right away!
Your girls are so lucky to have you as their coach!
Thanks for the linkup!
I would be happy not to be under 2 blankets at the lacrosse games anymore! Thanks for joining us today
Run well in humidity, apparently! Too bad I’m back to winter & dry cold. Spring is not making an appearance here anytime soon.
You got your girls planking! How cute!
Yes I got them planking it’s fun!
I’d love for it to warm up so I can get out on my bike! And I don’t think I’ll ever not hate the treadmill.
It was a first for me not sure what happened thanks for joining for coffee today
I really need it to warm up now! Still running in layers is starting to make me cranky!
You know how much I love that your coaching GOTR. I hope you have a great season!
Thanks so much and thanks for joining in for coffee today 🙂
Those Starbucks cups are definitely cute. I agree, the weather fluctuations are frustrating. Just when I packed off my winter gear, we have a storm. Oh well! Kudos on enjoying your treadmill run. That deserves a special award of its own! As always, thanks for hosting the coffee date link-ups. It’s so much fun to join and check out what everyone is up to.
Yes I am ready to store my gloves away for good! Thanks for joining in today
I guess I need to check out these Starbuck cups- I think I am behind! You can do hard things- it is impressive! Moving out of my 5K comfort zone was tough but fun!
It is hard to move out of your comfort zone but it feels so good when you do
You can totally do hard things! I need to follow your lead and ride with a group outside already. I’ve never done it!
honestly I am so glad that I did. Just a few rides in and I am already feeling so much stronger. It has made a huge difference. Or you can take a road trip here and we can ride together 🙂
I am not sure there is a bike group in my area but I did commit to riding bike everyday in April! We are in another season of GOTR and my team went from 9 to 16! Learning all the names has been a fun challenge.
Wow riding everyday is a great challenge! Hope the weather cooperates with you. Isn’t it great when the GOTR group grows? It is hard to learn all of their names isn’t it? Have fun with it
I haven’t seen the new Starbucks cup! I’ll definitely go check that out. It would be fun to run on the treadmill if we could have our running buddies besides us. I’m glad you are enjoying your group ride. Thanks for the linkup!
It would be fun if they could be there!
Love your GOTR girls planking – I hope that makes them feel powerful too! I definitely want to join you for Contes!
Yes they are loving the season so far. I was telling the other MRTT ladies I was going to try to get you to come out for a ride
Still feels like winter here 🙁
I may skip GOTR this year. Did not have a good experience as a running buddy the past 2 years. GL with your biking. I should drag mine up from the basement.
OH too bad you did not have a great experience as a running buddy. I love the biking as a great cross training. thanks for joining us for coffee today
You are so inspiring with your biking (and swimming and running and coaching, etc.). I need to look into starting a GOTR program here….That would be a “hard” thing for me…starting something like that from scratch LOL
Oh I think you would be a fabulous coach! They have a whole program that all the chapters use so you just have to implement it. Let me know if you ever want to chat about it
I mean come on Spring….those Starbucks cups are to cute!!
Glad GOTR is going well. Ooh 6th grade….I can’t deal after 10 yr olds…Lol.
I am so reluctant to join a ride group…..maybe once the weather warms up.
Been training for my TriAthlon in AprIL and running around with the kiddies.
I am doing the same tri as you-REV3? we have to meet up!
The treadmill would be so much more fun with friends, wouldn’t it?! Happy April!
For sure yes! Have a great weekend
Thanks for giving me an excuse to visit Starbucks! I have not seen their new cups yet. 🙂 My 3rd grader is in GOTR this year and loving it! Our oldest participated for 2 years as well and loved it. It is a good program and fun for the girls! Plus, it’s fun for mom to get to be a “run buddy” in the 5k!
It’s a fabulous program and I am so lucky to have the chance to work with my team
Love that you do the Girls on the Run group! One of my girls is in 6th grade and they are funny AND full of sass- enjoy!
They are too funny aren’t they!? Easier when they are not yours too 🙂
I do love those Starbucks cups too! The color is just fabulous. I’ve realized lately that I can do hard as hell HIIT classes without dying. Yep, we can do hard things …even in our more “mature” years! 🙂
We definitely can!
I love how active you are between the running, cycling and Girls on the Run! And, I think the new Starbucks cups are so cute! Spring is great, if you can get it. 🙂
Here in Central FL, we don’t exactly get Spring, it’s already getting warmer. Wasn’t horrid today for my 14-miler, but I know the humidity crud is right around the corner!
While I am looking forward to spring and summer, we get crazy humidity here too
We have a local running club and a local cycling club. It’s so fun to run and bike with other people!
It really is! I am enjoying it
The new Starbucks cups are adorable!
They sure are!
It sounds like you’re having so much fun! The Girls on the Run program is one of my favorites. I always wish I could convince someone to do cardio with me too – it goes so much faster if you can talk!
It definitely does!
6th graders really are such a fun age to work with! That’s so awesome that your girls are doing so well already!
They amaze me every season!
I think I like running on the TM more than is normal – lol!
Awesome on finding a good bike group for you!
Happy Spring!
I usually hate the TM so don’t know what happened!
I can’t wait til it warms up too! :[ I’ve had it with this winter weather!
Group biking sounds like a lot of fun!
HUGE kudos to you for going onto the treadmill and not hating it; I really have never had a great experience on it. 😀
It was a first for sure!
