April 2025 Runfessions and Confessions

April came in fast and furious and I can’t believe it’s almost over. Well, it’s that time again. The April 2025 Runfessions and Confessions are up. I’ve got a few things to share and get off of my chest. Thanks to Marcia for hosting.

April 2025 Runfessions

April 2025 Runfessions and Confessions

I Runfess and Confess…

May always seemed crazy when my kids were younger and still in school. It is still living up to its crazy busy reputation this year. With Mother’s Day, birthdays and a big milestone anniversary it’s going to be a whirlwind-but in a good way. We have some fun things planned for your 30th anniversary which I will share soon.

I Runfess and Confess…

The last few weeks it feels like something breaks or happens every week over here that I have to call in someone to fix. First, I went to turn on the outdoor hose bib only to find that it had burst over the winter and water was spraying everywhere. So…first the plumber needed to come and cut a whole in the wall to fix the pipe. Then, a handyman arrived to fix the drywall. Oh and he needs to come back to sand and repaint it. That was last week.

This week, I am minding my own business sitting on the couch when I notice that a fairly large tree was leaning in towards the covered porch. I called an arborist to come take a look and unfortunately, it could not be saved.

Yesterday, I realized that the AC unit in my gym is blowing out air but it is not cold. Ugh! This girl does not like a hot gym. Alas, I am waiting for the AC repairman today. So, I figure that’s 3 things in 3 weeks so maybe I’m good for a while!

I’m just taking it in stride and laughing it off! But, seriously I’ve had enough for now! That’s all I’ve got to Runfess and Confess this April 2025. See you for the Ultimate Coffee Date next Friday. Crossing my fingers that I will not need to call another repair man!

Ha, it’s funny the way these things always happen all at once!
Now I’m really excited to see what you have planned for your 30th Anniversary. We have our anniversary next month, too, and if yours is before ours, I may be able to steal some ideas from you!

Yes you’ve had your share of repairs so I hope you’re done for awhile. It’s a PIA for sure. Congrats on 30 years! Can’t wait to hear what you’ve got planned!

Oh, that is a lot to go wrong! We just replaced our washing machine and now our dryer is making an odd noise ….

My husband is afraid of all the trees around our house and gets them inspected every year. We got a big one taken out this year. Even though it’s out front I don’t miss it because it was sort of to the side.

It is nice to have trees but they can cause a lot of damage and chaos!

Ha, yes it’s always SOMETHING. Hopefully you’re good for a while. And- no AC would make me very, very cranky. I hope that gets fixed soon!

All of those annoying repairs are frustrating. Thankfully I haven’t had much, other than a weird doorknob that wouldn’t lock (back door, so out of sight and not a huge concern since the deadbolt did work). New construction has its perks, though it is a PIA arranging for time off from work to let the peeps in, LOL. Excited to hear about your anniversary shenanigans 😉

Yes, you have to wait all day for them to arrive!

It does always seem to be the way things go doesn’t it? Hopefully with these 3 things you’re done for a bit.

Home owning is expensive… we are at the point a lot needs to be done…

Can’t wait to see what you have planned for your 30th anniversary! How fun!

These things always seem to happen in threes (or more). Hopefully, you are finished with the surprises for now!
