Thanks for joining me and Kim for the Weekly Run Down. This week was another busy one with lots of celebrations. That’s the best kind of busy right? Here’s a peek into my week of fitness and life.

A week of celebrations Weekly Run Down

weekly run down

Sunday- Mother’s Day Run 4.75 miles + stretch

Started off my Mother’s Day with a run with a few of my favorite mothers. It was a gorgeous morning once the rain stopped.

Weekly rundown

Later, I hosted my parents and sister and her family for dinner. My “favorite son” and his girlfriend attended but sadly my daughter was not able to come into town. It was a nice low key dinner and was nice to be back out on the deck.

Monday-Peloton hike+ upper & lower body strength + core + afternoon walk

Back to my schedule! I got in a great morning workout and a bonus afternoon walk with a friend. Later, my husband and I went out to dinner for our 29th anniversary.

Tuesday-4.75 mile run + stretch + 1 mile walk

oh look it’s raining again. We dodged the hard rain and managed to get in a nice to run to our rose again. Post run coffee was fun.

Weekly run down

Wednesday- Peloton hike + upper body strength + core + yoga

A little bit of everything today. Ending with a short but effective yoga class for hips felt fantastic.

Weekly run down

Later, we celebrated our son’s birthday with him and checked off another restaurant on our list.

Thursday – 3 mile walk + stretch

I was able to squeeze in a 3 mile walk this morning before heading to a conference that my husband was hosting.

Friday- 4 mile run + stretch

Made up for missing yesterday’s usual run. We got in 4 miles ahead of yet another rainy weekend!

Weekly run down

My husband was out of town again and I had the best night: mani/pedi, ate ramen in my pj’s while watching the new season of Bridgerton. Just what I needed after a really busy week!

Saturday- Peloton tread hike + core + stretch

Woke up to another rainy day! I am getting really tired of these. It was a short Peloton tread hike and core.

And that’s a wrap on a really busy week of celebrations!

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

You have a lot to celebrate this week — Happy All The Things!
Happy Anniversary — I always think of Cafe Milano for work events — we should go there for fun. 😉 Happy Birthday to your son too!

Other than the rain, it sounds like a perfect week! Lots of celebrations, family time, and runs with your girls. And after all that, you got a quiet night at home, which is exactly what I would want as well. Oh and you can send some of that rain our way- we need it badly.

Crazy how much rain you’re getting! Sorry, but I:mnot jealous, LOL. I’m still battling the wind here…tough it seems to be less intense (some days). At least now it’s a warm “breeze,” so it doesn’t feel as miserable. Looks like a busy and fun week, so much to celebrate 😉
