Thanks for joining Kim and me for the Weekly Run Down today. It’s a not so scary Halloween week to finish out the month of October. Here’s a peek into my week of fitness and running.
A not so scary weekly run down
Monday- Upper & lower body strength + core + hip mobility exercise + 15 min yoga + cycle
I was full of energy this morning and that is just how I like my Mondays. This workout had a little bit of everything and I felt pretty good.
Tuesday- 5 ish running miles + stretch + core
Today was one of those runs where everything just came together. My pains in the ass were minimal and my pace started to come back. I wish I could figure out what it was. Was it the fish I ate last night? The use of the Theragun mini in addition to my normal run? The lower body strength I did yesterday? Was it hormonal? Was it my running shoes? I will never know but whatever it was, I hope I can continue to find it.
Wednesday-upper & lower body strength + core + Peloton cycle + stretch + hip exercises
A solid strength day all around. I am back up to using heavier weights again for my lower body workouts again. Fingers crossed that does not aggravate anything! Not so scary Halloween weeks so far.
Thursday- 4 mile run + stretch/mobility
I had the best day! Not only was it just gorgeous out today but I had a fantastic feeling run. My glutes/hips seem to be worse when I first wake up and then with some movement, they feel better. I felt amazing on my run this morning.
Then, later in the day, I had a “fan girl” moment. One of the popular Peloton instructors, Matt Wilpers was doing a meet & greet at the local store. I got there 2 hours early and was first in line! This paid off big time. The Peloton staff was so nice. I did a full on photo shoot in the store. My friend and I were first in line to get a photo op with Matt. He was so nice and it was lots of fun. I have more photos on my IG if you are interested.
Friday- upper body strength + core + mobility + Peloton cycle
A good solid workout. My husband thinks I have lost my mind. Who needs Elf on the shelf when you have a skeleton on the Peloton? I had fun with this one!
Saturday- rest day with stretch
Sunday- on the plan Monster Mash 5K
This is the 5K race for the couch to 5K program that I am coaching. So looking forward to running with my crew. I will share all the details later this week. Of course, I will be sporting that skeleton costume.
Your Peloton fan day sounds and looked like so much fun! I’m impressed that you were first in line, lol! Will you buy the rower?
Good luck today on your 5k!
I had so much fun at Peloton! No, I don’t think I can fit the rower into my fitness regimen at the moment
so cool to be first at the meet and greet!! and the photos are great.
have fun at the 5K!! I need a running costume- the skeleton is perfect!
thanks it was a fun costume and yes, super fun to meet the Peloton crew
Now I want a skeleton outfit! I’m glad to hear your PIA issues are dwindling. Mine felt like they were on the way out until my run last Wednesday (when it suddenly felt like I’d run one mile too many). Oh well…perfect timing for some rehabbing #glasshalffull 🙂
my pains in the have moved to more of an annoyance now instead of a pain. I hope that means they are healing.
Wow, it sounds like you’re making a nice recovery from your butt pains. How fun to meet some of your favorite Peloton instructors and get some great pictures. I love your skeleton body suit. What do husbands know anyway? 😉
I had so much fun at Peloton!
I’m so glad you are feeling better. It would be great if you could figure it out and bottle it! I’d be first in line for that. 😉
Seeing all the other posts about the MW event you did the right thing getting there so early. I heard about people coming from southern Maryland! Glad you had so much fun there. You do look good on the rower.
You are the finest looking skeleton on a Peloton I’ve seen!
ha thanks! I did kind of feel like a fitness model w my mini photo shoot 🙂
I love your Halloween spirit! Those leggings from Thursday are awesome and then of course that skeleton outfit… I can’t wait to hear all about the race. On the subject of your wardrobe, I like the shirt you wore to meet Matt! He must have loved that. Sounds like you had a great week- glad everything is feeling good.
I do like Halloween! We used to get really into it when my kids were young. Matt did like the shirt! 🙂
I think Pelo should gift their new rower! I don’t know a more dedicated Peloton fan. I’m glad the long wait paid off! You have the best Halloween fun gear!
ha ha that would be nice!!
Sounds like a good week! Great to hear that you’re feeling better. And what a fun Peloton day 🙂
How exciting that you got to meet Matt!! That is some dedication getting in line so early. I didn’t know Peloton stores existed! Fun skeleton costume. I am having FOMO from my Facebook friends dressing up for parties and events this past weekend. Next year I’ll have to do something! Glad your pains are going away.
so much fun to meet Matt!
Glad things are better pain-wise and hooray for your Peleton experience – how lovely. Also really liking the outfits and hope your Couch to 5kers had fun.
thanks and yes, my couch 2 5K group did amazing so proud of them
I love that you were the first in line to meet Matt! Great photos.
It was so worth waiting for!
Oh yay, so glad you got to meet Matt. Is he as friendly and approachable as I imagine?? 🙂
He is so sweet and friendly and just so nice. Worth waiting in line for
Such a fun week for you, especially the Peloton event. So cool that you got to meet Matt Wilpers. I’m also loving your skeleton outfit too. Happy Halloween!
It was a fun and busy week around here
Not scary at all!
