A Nice Boring Weekly Run Down

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. I was so happy to have a nice, uneventful and boring week. Here’s how it went!

A nice boring weekly run down

Sunday- upper body strength + hike

One of my favorite Peloton instructors, Rebecca, came out with a new 4 day a week program that combines strength and tread hikes. I just so happen to love that combo so I jumped right in. This is another split training type of program so each strength class has a focus. Today was upper body pull.

I also cheered on my Philadelphia Eagles as they secured their spot in the Super Bowl.

Monday- core + lower body strength + hike + stretch +afternoon walk

My Monday motivation was high today! I thoroughly enjoyed my second day of the lower body and hike split combo.I am going to feel those squats tomorrow (in a good way). Later, I met a friend for an afternoon coffee walk. Things are melting but it’s still a little icy out there on the bike trail.

Tuesday -3.25 run/walk + barre + core

After 3 weeks off from running, it was so nice to get back out there with my squad. It was a balmy 35 and sunny which felt almost springlike!

Wednesday -core + upper body strength + hike

I spent the first part of the day visiting some wedding sites and vendors downtown. Later, I got in my 3rd day of new split program which is upper body push and a short tread hike.

Thursday- 3.25 run/walk + barre

It was another sunny, slightly warmer morning and it always feels good to be outside especially on a nice day.

Friday-core + lower body strength + tread hike

I finished up the first week of the new 4 day strength + hike classes and really enjoyed it. There are so many new Peloton classes and programs, I’m overwhelmed with choices!

Saturday-30 min Pilates and core

I tried one of the longer Pilates classes today and they are tough! The February core challenge (with Matty) has also started and I am always in for that!

It was a nice boring week just what I needed!

Boring is good! I could use some of that. I think I’d love the hike/strength combo–that sounds right up my alley. Glad you had a good week!

I had been doing that combo on my own as well but it was fun to take a set schedule. It’s a great mix

After yesterday I think all our snow/ice is FINALLY gone!

I think I’d enjoy the hiking program. I’ll have to figure out how to fit it in.

Yes, all the ice is finally gone! I loved the program and will do it again for sure. So many great options it’s hard to choose

Uneventful is a good thing these days!! How nice for you that the weather is warming up. Your first outdoor photo looks so icy and unpleasant despite the nice weather, then the second one looks like a lovely day. I’m glad you’re getting back to some quality time outdoors.
Mixing strength and hiking sounds perfect!

I think all of the ice and snow finally melted yesterday! It is still cold but manageable

Yes, I’ll never complain about a “boring” week of fitness- boring means no new fiascos at least! Sounds like you’re enjoying some warmer weather- I’ll bet those runs felt good!

Do you have big Superbowl plans? I don’t really watch the game, but it is fun to do themed snacks and food.
