The Ides Of March Weekly Run Down

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. Was it the Ides of March or the Luck of the Irish this week? Perhaps, the first day of spring? Whichever it was, it was a busy week. Here’s a peek into my fitness and fun.

The Ides of march Weekly Run Down

Sunday-full body strength + core

I did a quick full body workout before heading out to meet up with Darlene and Coco for lunch. I do love when blogger friends come to DC to visit.

Monday-Peloton hike + full body strength +Core + afternoon walk

Oh the Ides of March we’re doing their thing today. Long story short, we are having some work done outside the house and even though Miss Utility came and gave the contractor the all clear, they neglected to take into account our Fios WiFi. So, they cut the wire and we had no tv or WiFi. I felt like I was back in the dark ages!

Fortunately, I had completed my workout before that happened! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Tuesday-4 mile run/walk + core + afternoon walk

It was a gorgeous spring morning for a run/walk. I do love the cooler mornings and warmer afternoons. Those Ides of March were still in play. The Verizon man did arrive to reconfigure our cut wires and everything was working when he was here. Alas, 15 minutes later, it was out again! Thankfully, he had given me his cell number and I was able to reach him directly and he came back. WiFi was up and running again-whew! Not today, Ides of March!

Wednesday-Spa day with a friend + 3 mile power walk + core

I celebrated a friend’s birthday with her at a relaxing day spa. Just what we needed! Later, I came home and embraced the warm sunny afternoon with a power walk. It was 75 degrees for a few hours!

I also elaborated on the small tweaks I made to improve my body composition this past year at age 55. Perhaps some of these tips will help you.

How I improved my body composition at age 55

Thursday-Full body strength workout + Peloton hike + afternoon walk

I made up for yesterday’s lighter day by hitting it pretty hard today with a full body strength and hike in the morning. Later, I headed out for another hilly power walk in the warm temps.

Friday-Peloton hike + upper body strength + core

I am a sucker for a new Peloton program and thus, jumped into the new upper body 4 week program with Tunde. The first class was a good all around push class and easy to pair with the last week of my ATUmobile plan this week.

Saturday-rest day -hip mobility class

I had rare Saturday morning deep tissue massage which was amazing. Later, I decided it was a good day to start cleaning up the deck for the season. A 10 min hip mobility class got me my Peloton check mark for the day.

I seemed to have survived the Ides Of March with just a few hiccups!

We’ve had a few issues with squirrels chewing through our cable lines! And yes, it feels like the dark ages, lol. Glad you got it all sorted out. How fun to meet up with Coco and Darlene!

I survived the ides as well with some minor hiccups.

    Glad your internet is back.

I’m sleeping in my own bed this week.

Still our weather is back n forth.

I saw the new Tunde program, and I’m gonna try to get that going this week. You know how much I love her 😉 Isn’t it crazy how dependent we are on WiFi (and technology in general)? I went into a mini panic mode, recently, when I noticed my phone was on 3% in the store (out of town, nonetheless). I was able to get a charge in my car on the drive home, though. Whew…first world probs!

Yes I get anxious when mine in under 50%! Let me know how you like the Tunde program and the vest

No wifi, eeks! Especially when you rely on it for your workouts! Our hot water heater was out for 2 days last week, which was rough…but I just showered at the office and the gym. But no wifi may actually be harder, ha!

Love the blogger meet ups this week!

Yes having no WiFi was awful! Hey, cold showers are supposed to be good for you lol

What a bummer with the wifi cable! We had something similar happen years ago when we had work done outside our house in Sweden. That time it was the main power cable! It was early January and I sat in full darkness a few hours until they had sorted it out.
Nice with some new strength workouts, and how fun with a bloggers meet-up!
Here we’re struggling with strong winds and I can’t make myself go out walking with this weather. 🙁

March is always super windy here and wildly unpredicatable!

Ack to having no Wifi! We were without internet for 5 days a few years ago and it was TOUGH… we also lost power (Both lines went down) and it was so interesting to re-wire ourselves to do activities without both. Glad you made it through! Nice job with your workouts this week. and I’m clicking on/reading your body composition story – it’s something I’m definitely interested in, especially as I’m getting older!

Great job overcoming all the challenges. I love when you can pivot and make the best of things.

Yay for blogger meetups! Boo for wifi issues- we had a wifi outage last November and it really screws everything up!!!
I read the body composition post- all good things! I’ve also been eating more protein. Now I just need to get more sleep… sigh…

We were warned about a potential power outage at our house due to some electrical upgrades and I charged up everything in sight thinking we might be going back to the stone age for a few hours! Laundry was put on hold, etc. But in the end, no power outage happened!
How fun you got to see Darlene and Coco. Looks like great weather there this week!
