Bob and Brad (self proclaimed most famous physical therapists on the internet) have been sharing their wisdom on YouTube and helping countless followers reduce their pain and keep doing what they love. I’ve been a big fan of many of their recovery products (foot massager, compression boots and percussive therapy gun). Today, I am going to tell you about their newest, weighted heating pad. Bob and Brad Weighted Heating Pad Review
I am much more of a heat therapy vs ice therapy person and keep a heating pad right next to my nighttime TV viewing area. So, I was looking forward to trying out this newly released Bob and Brad Weighted Heating Pad for comparison.
Benefits of using a heating pad
Using a heating pad can have great benefits for muscle soreness due to over use and or chronic conditions. Heat therapy can increase blood flow to the affected area and loosen tight muscles and decrease inflammation. Heating pads have low risk of any side effects or negative impact. Heat therapy may also prevent DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) in athletes.
First, right out of the box, this is a beautiful heating pad. The light brown fabric is soft and elegant looking. Many others I have used in the past look more like what you might find in a hospital. I appreciate the large size 24 x 12 which also includes a belt that can be used to keep the pad in place for hands free use on back and shoulders.
With a quick 30 second heat up, there are 6 heat settings available from 109-145 degrees. Heat can be moist or dry for more options. An auto shut off timer is another plus. The cover can be removed for washing if necessary.
I’m enjoying the weight of the heating pad which feels cozy but not cumbersome. I know it’s there but its not annoying. It’s just right.
This Bob and Brad Weighted Heating Pad will be a great addition to my recovery routine. It’s a high quality product with a very reasonable price point. You will see it on my holiday gift guide list.

This definitely looks very cosy!
I’m fascinated by the moist heat option – I would like that, especially for the lower back. Do you need to add water somewhere for it to do that?

This looks great! The only heating pad I’ve ever used has been much smaller. This one looks really comfortable.

I really like the larger size

What a nice heating pad! I have one of those ‘hospital’ heating pads, which does the job but isn’t quite so cozy. I agree with you about heat vs ice– ice just isn’t as helpful as heat. Heat brings blood flow to the area of concern.

Yes, heat always does the trick for me much more effectively

The heating pad sounds great. I’ve loved all of the Bob & Brad products I’ve tried. I really like the sound of a weighted heating pad. It would be good for my stretch clients too.

I may be getting this for my husband. He has been tweaking and twinging all sorts of things lately, and might benefit from something like this!
