Your ninja creami catches on fire! Our kids gave my husband the Ninja Cremi last year as a gift. Since then, we have made fun ice cream flavors and I’ve more recently become obsessed with high protein treats. All was fun and games until high protein lemon icee started to smoke and sparks started to fly!
We were both standing right there so we unplugged the machine immediately. There was fortunately no damage to us or our kitchen. My husband initially “insinuated” I had done something wrong. However, after the consulting “experts” (TikTok and you tube creators) , this has happened to a number of people. I called Ninja customer service and they could not have been nicer! A new upgraded model is on its way to us! We will soon be creating yummy cconcoctions again soon.

Have you heard that Mahjong is the new Pickleball for us “older” peeps? Apparently, all the cool celebs are playing Mahjong. Julia Roberts and trendy Sarah Jessica Parker are both fans and play weekly with friends. So, naturally, I’ve roped in a few of my besties to take lessons with me. We have 2 lessons set up in the next few weeks and we could not be more excited.
Wondering what Mahjong is? It’s a tile game that originated in China in the 19th century and has a newfound resurgence of late. I’m all in for it and can’t wait to start learning and playing with my besties.
Tell me: Have any of your appliances ever caught fire? Have you played Mahjong? Have you taken up any new hobbies of late?
Yikes on the Cremi malfunction! Good thing you were standing right there. So scary. My MIL has played Mahjong as long as I’ve known her and I guess that turns me off. Haha! I have been playing pickleball a lot this summer since both of my kids enjoy it. Thing 2 plans to play in college so I’m excited for her.

I know another “celebrity” who plays mahjong- Darlene! I’ve never played but I definitely hear a lot about it these days.
I had that happen to a waffle maker once- but it was more like a mini-explosion. I’m glad another Cremi is headed your way!
Mahjong seems to be gaining popularity again so will be fun to try it out
WHAT??? Im terrified of fire so that would absolutely send me over the edge? That being said, our hot water heater went on fire years ago (it burned itself out because the electric is behind a panel and it had no oxygen to spread), and that was enough.

Things catching on fire is one of my fears as well! I literally check to make sure the oven is off every night before I go to sleep. LOL
I have heard of Mahjong (thanks to our dear Darlene), but have never played it. I was in a Bunko group for several years, but several of the members moved and it got to be a challenge finding subs, so the group disbanded. I’ve thought of starting a group here, but haven’t gotten it going yet. You need 12 people and I don’t know 11 other local peeps yet (except for runners, and so many of them are guys, LOL).
I’ve never played Mahjong or bunko! It will give us another fun thing to do together.
I’ve plying mah jongg with my friends every Friday night for years. I love it!!
It used to be just for Jewish moms but now it’s more popular.
