Running

April 2022 Runfessions- I’ve got a few

Another month is flying by already! It has been a busy one over here and I’ve got lots to Runfess this April 2022. Let’s get right to it here are my Runfessions. Here’s what’s on my mind today. Thanks to Marcia for hosting.

April 2022 Runfessions

I Runfess…

I hit “yes please” as soon as I was offered the chance to do another round of the Wilpers Run Challenge. I participated in a beta test of the first 8 week run challenge designed by Team Wilpers (of Peloton fame) from January through March. I credit this training as helping me to propel into the best spring running season I have ever had. The team is looking to test out a few more metrics and features before offering them to the public. While I won’t be racing this summer, I plan to continue to work on some of the things that have brought me success recently. I just started again this week so stay tuned for details. So far so good,

I Runfess…

I am just the queen of beta testing! This week I am also participating in a study with Meta (ie Facebook and Instagram) looking at how creators share their content across multiple apps. It is a paid study that is looking at how creators can more easily streamline the sharing of their content across numerous apps. I figure they already have so much information on me and my habits, so why not!? Perhaps some of my answers will lead to new features. Who knows!?

I Runfess…

I could not be more excited to have our first MRTT welcome run in like forever on Sunday. We have a bunch of new members to welcome and also catch up with friends I have not seen in ages. We used to do these meetups 4-5 times a year until covid. One more step back to normalcy!

That’s about all I’ve got to Runfess today. Hope to see you next Friday for the Ultimate Coffee Date linkup.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I would absolutely jump at the chance to be paid to give FB feedback! I actually have a nephew who works for FB (on my husband’s side).

I’m sure that continuing on with the Wilpers Method (yes, i just made that up) is going to help whatever Fall races you choose to do!

Very cool on the beta-testing. It would be great if Meta (I hate that name!) streamlined content sharing.

I keep (almost) forgetting about Sunday afternoon’s event. Hope to see you.
