Wow it’s already time for the November Ultimate Coffee Date! Hope you’ve all recovered from last night’s festivities or if you haven’t, it’s the perfect time to pour a cup a coffee and sit down with friends.
I’m linking up this month for a new Coffee Date with Coco at Got2Run4me to catch up and meet some new friends. Short notice so we’ll tell you more about it for December. The Coffee Date post is always one of my favorites to write and read. We have lots to catch up on today so grab a chair and a cup of your favorite coffee and let’s chat. Hope you will join us!
If we were having coffee I would tell you… that my coffee maker spontaneously broke a few weeks ago so I was forced to go out and buy the new Keurig 2.0. Wait-it gets better…it makes a carafe of coffee! Yes I love it.
If we were having coffee I would tell you...I can’t believe that we are halfway through the fall season of Girls on The Run and our 5k race is coming up in 3 weeks. I am coaching the 6th graders this year with the new middle school program and they really seem to enjoy the more mature curriculum. They are still young enough to not be totally sassy yet.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I am doing the Run For the Parks 10k tomorrow. It is apparently very fast & flat and benefits the National Parks in DC. Bonus we will be getting a cute little fleece half zip. However, it’s supposed to be very chilly and windy.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…My husband has to go to LA next weekend and this time I get to go too! I’m really excited. I haven’t been to LA in years and we could really use a little time away to ourselves. When I travel I love to go check out cool workout classes in other cities. I’m thinking of hitting the Soul Cycle next Friday morning. Anyone have any other ideas for cool classes in LA.? I always think Californians have all the cool stuff way before we do.
If we were having coffee I would tell you...I just love Thanksgiving! Even though I am a vegetarian and I don’t eat most of the food that day, I love it! I love that Thanksgiving is not about gifts or religion. I love that Thanksgiving is all about family and appreciating all that we have. We are hosting at our house again this year and thanks to Pinterest, I intend to really rock the table decor this year. Look for lots of veggie Thanksgiving ideas the next few Meatless Mondays.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I’m not big on Black Friday shopping. I never really think the deals are so great and the crowds just drive me crazy. I like the idea of Thanksgiving being separate from the December holidays.
I’ve been chatting away forever now if your turn.
If we were having coffee…What would you tell me?
What are you doing for Thanksgiving? How early is too early to Holiday Shop?
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner says
Well I would be having tea π but I would say that I can’t wait to start training for my next race in January. I love running in colder climates so the colder the better I train!
Deborah Brooks says
Wow really? I like the fall the sometimes the winter gets a little brutal around here. Good for you and good luck. Thanks for stopping by for tea today
Karen - Fit in France says
Hi Deborah ! I would tell you that I am loving my new job, my kids are having a really great year in school and I am looking forward to a family vacation in Florida in February. Also loving the summer like weather we have had these past 2 months. It was 70 degrees yesterday… people were running in shorts. A definite first in Paris for Oct. 31 !
Deborah Brooks says
Hi Karen glad to hear that you are loving your new job and that your kids are doing well in school. High school was a little adjustment for my younger. Florida sounds great you will love it. February is around the time I start to need to see the sun again. hope all is well. Thanks for popping in

I’m all for recommending the pole/aerial silks classes in LA! Partially because I haven’t had a chance to go to LA to try em’ out yet and need someone to live vicariously through. π‘ I hope you have fun over there though!
I’m excited for all the food for Thanksgiving! I only have that day off, so I can’t go home and hang out with my family, but if the weather’s not too terrible, I’m hoping I’ll get to spend it with people I consider to be my second family! π
Deborah Brooks says
ooh hadn’t thought of the aerial classes I am sure that would be quite the site to see! I’m excited for thanksgiving too. I will be putting out some great side dishes the next few Meatless Mondays so take a look. have a good day π
Laurie says
Good Morning! Great Coffee! I would say two days before Christmas is too early! LOL nothing like shopping on Christmas eve!
Deborah Brooks says
Too funny good luck with that!
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
I would tell you that I’m so with you on Thanksgiving – I feel like it gets overrun in the Christmas-shopping madness! By the way I so want that new Keurig…trying to figure out how my old one is going to suddenly have an unfortunate accident π
Deborah Brooks says
hmm you could drop it on the floor accidentally π then put it on your christmas wish list.
Emily @ Whatever Floats Your Oats says

If we were having coffee, I’d probably be talking about some serious stuff that’s on my mind. Not that I want to bring anyone down, but there’s something about coffee and a friend that makes me want to open up!

Have a great time in LA!! I’m commenting while you are getting ready to run, I hope you have a great race and stayed warm. And I’m with you about Black Friday shopping, I hate it and I don’t think the deals are that great either!!
Deborah Brooks says
Thanks it was a good one although rather chilly and windy. Felt better than I have in a while.
MCM Mama says
Have fun in LA! I haven’t tried any of the new classes that are popping up, but it sounds like a great opportunity to try something new.
Deborah Brooks says
I know I am excited and it’s warm so I may have to hang by the pool a little bit too
