I just figured out the most life changing closet trick and could not wait to share it with you all. Do your workout clothes end up piled in a drawer so that you can never find what you are looking for? Do you end up wearing the same few pieces because they are easier to pull out to wear? Or is that just me? I found the one thing that will change that forever. This 5 Minute Closet hack will Organize All Your Workout Gear and save space too.
5 Minute Closet Trick To Organize All Of Your Workout Gear
I’ve tried different way to organize my workout clothes over the years. I even tried the Marie Kondo thing but it’s just not for me. Most work for a short time and then I end up with a heap in my drawers and I cannot find anything. I am in a rush to get dressed and out the door in the morning so I will just grab whatever is on top. This, of course, means that I probably only wear a small percentage of my clothes. Until now..because I just found the best 5 minute closet trick to organize all of your workout gear.
This is it! This four-tiered hanger has literally changed my life (and my closet). This post is in NO way sponsored. I just found something I loved and wanted to share it with all my peeps. I found this four-tiered hanger on Amazon (affiliate link) one day and have since ordered 5 more. Yep all or nothing girl here. Go big or go home.
Why is it so great? How will it organize all of your workout gear?
Simply, you can clip 8 pairs of capris or leggings onto one hanger. Then, you can see all 8 pairs from both sides thus really giving you access to your whole workout clothing wardrobe. Life changing indeed don’t you think?
Right now, I am using a few for my running skirts and a few more for my Capri Pants. When the seasons change, it will be easy to store the skirts away for the winter and switch them out for longer leggings. Literally took just minutes for me to organize all of my workout gear. It’s like shopping in your own closet!
How do you organize your workout clothes? Think you might try this 5 minute closet Hack to organize your workout clothes?

Deborah this is absolutely genius!! I swear I wear the same few items until I think to rotate my bin. Thank you for sharing!
Deborah Brooks says
I know! It’s been life changing 🙂
The Accidental Marathoner says
I have a few of those, and I love them! And because capris and running clothes in general are so light-weight, you can actually clip two of whatever in each clip if you are short on room in your closet. You are right, though, I do tend to wear a small percentage of everything. Maybe it’s time to buy a few more of the hangers…
Deborah Brooks says
I am feeling very organized!

Wow! That is pretty cool! That would be great to hang all of my golf hats!
Deborah Brooks says
Would be perfect for hats too!
Megan @ Meg Go Run says
I’m glad you found something that helps you find your workouts clothes quickly! I HATE hanging stuff up and I put my stuff in an under the bed tub. So I pretty much do the opposite of you but for me it works! Your workout clothes are way cuter than mine though, so maybe if mine were stylish I’d pay more attention!
Deborah Brooks says
I could not find anything in my drawer and I felt like I was wearing the same thing everyday. This has been great for me
Jenny|Running On Life says
Great idea. Right now have a drawer in my dresser just for running clothes. But it does tend to get messy.
Deborah Brooks says
I was using a drawer for a long while but I just could not find anything in it!
Carrie A Groff says
What a great hack!! I just went through my leggings drawer and got rid of a bunch that were at the bottom lol I haven’t seen or worn them in forever!
Deborah Brooks says
That is exactly what was happening with my drawer!
Darlene says
You don’t want to know. One drawer for skirts, one drawer for tights & capris, one drawer for tops, one for long sleeves and one for tanks. I try to roll them so I can see them all at a glance (but often I get lazy and throw them in.) I use the dressers in my sons rooms since they moved out.
I wear my skirts all year. Just add them over capris or tights. The same with tops. I add them under and over long sleeves in the fall and winter.
My closets are too full of work clothes…. But I like what you do.
Deborah Brooks says
I had them all designated by drawer as well but they never stayed organized. I felt like I was wearing all of the same things all the time
Abbey Sharp says
Definitely in need of this! So much easier to grab what you need with this system!
Deborah Brooks says
Yes you are able to see everything and make choices
Rachel says
Woah, this is genius! All of my workout clothes are only just chillin’ on a shelf in no particular order. I can never find anything I want. I will definitely need to try this out!
Deborah Brooks says
Yes that is exactly how mine were. I am much happier now
Virjinia @ With Purpose and Kindness says
I’ve been thinking about getting one of these! My closet even has built in shelves but they aren’t helping my issue lol. Going to see if these hangers help!
Deborah Brooks says
I had built in shelves too but I still could not keep everything straight. These force me to and they are so much neater
Marcia says
Brilliant! I need to do this. I spend way too much time hunting for workout wear.
Deborah Brooks says
Life Changing 🙂

I’ve tried that sort of thing in the past, but I usually find it’s kind of a pain getting at the skirt/capris/what have you that I want.
I have small bins. I roll my skirts (a la Marie Kondo), and that actually works fairly well — until I get more and then I have 2 layers and am rummaging through the layers . . . but skirts aren’t usually the problem.
The problem tends to be the tops!
Deborah Brooks says
It was the layers that gave me a problem. My drawers always ended up in a huge heap!
Kimberly Hatting says
The hubby and I share a huge closet in the hallway, and we each have individual “mini” closets in our room. I have most of my tops and bottoms in my mini closet…I have all the bottoms stacked on the floor (according to type…shorts, capri’s, leggings, etc.) and all the tops folded in half and then rolled on the shelves. By rolling the shirts, they seem to take up less space and I’m able to see all the various colors without having to flip through piles of “flat-folded” stuff. These hangers look handy!
Deborah Brooks says
I tried the rolling thing but it ended up being a big mess in my drawers. These hangers seem to really do the trick for me
Coco says
Love it! I have hangers that can hang down from each other, but I think these would work better. The hangers I have tend to fall off.
Deborah Brooks says
These are fabulous and have really just changed everything in my closet. I also now realize that I have a ridiculous amount of capris 🙂
Lacey@fairytalesandfitness says
Great idea! My sister has a back of the door shoe mesh rack that she puts all her running gear in that I thought was pretty clever.
Deborah Brooks says
Also a great idea!
Emily @Sinful Nutrition says
Such a genius idea! I usually end up stuffing all of mine in a drawer!

That is what I was doing but I could never find what I was looking for

What a great idea! If only I weren’t out of hanging space in my closet…and none of my workout gear is currently hung up either.
Deborah Brooks says
Ah too bad it’s really been so helpful for me
