    • I don’t know about you but all of this summer exercising has me super hungry! I have a few go to healthy snacks I’d love to share with you today. They are all easy to whip up and have on hand for the “rungries”.
    • 1. Frozen Grapes-
    • Super simple to prepare. I just rinse and dry them, throw them in a ziploc and freeze for a few hours. At night when I am looking for something sweet or after a sweaty bike ride these are delish.
    • 2. Hard Boiled Eggs with Hummus
    • Bump up the protein in your snacks with hard boiled eggs stuffed with hummus or black bean dip. These single serve packs are great on the go but I love to make my own hummus and dips as well. Check my recipes for easy make at home versions here. A little trick I learned to make peeling eggs easier-add a teaspoon of baking soda to the cooking water. Works like a charm.
  • [Tweet “5 easy #fit n #Healthy Snacks #vegetarian”]
  • 3. Veggies with Guacamole & Blue corn chips
    • When I am hungry for something a little more filling, I love to fill up my plate with fresh veggies, guacamole and blue corn chips. This is great for a light lunch or bigger snack and really keeps me going.
  • 4. Strawberry Yogurt Banana Split
    • This one of my favorites this year. You can freeze your favorite yogurt and spoon it into the banana to make it just like a banana split. Perfect combo of protein and carbs for a great post workout snack.
  • 5. Fruit, nuts & cheese
    • An oldie but a goodie! I love pears with nuts and cheese. Just the right amount of protein to fill me up for a pre or post workout snack. Apples and Oranges work well too.
    • I’d so much rather have one of these fresh, healthy snacks than a processed bar.
