As many of you know, I’m a big fan of SkirtSports running skirts. From spring through Fall I am usually sporting one of these babies on my runs. I love to show off my fashion style as well as my feminine side while running and doing other sports. Not only do I find them extremely comfortable and well made, they are practical too with built in shorts or undies. They have a large selection of colors and styles of varying skirt lengths. There is something about wearing a skirt while running that just feels right to me!

I’m not usually into Virtual Races however this one really caught me eye. In conjunction with the actual Skirt Sports Half & 5k in Louisville, Co on June 1 they have a Virtual Half Marathon race option the same weekend.

What’s a Virtual Race? How does it work?

-Can’t make it to the actual race? No problem-run the 13.1 miles on your own, with a friend, with your kids at any time during the June 1st weekend anywhere you choose

-Not ready to take on the full 13.1 at once? No prob split it up over the weekend and voila you’ve done it!

-Share your Virtual Race Results by posting to their Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram pages. Share your time, photos, or stories so that they know you ran.

-They will randomly select winners to receive prizes and awards who use the hashtags #’s: #SkirtSports #RUNcelebration #SkirtSportsHalfMarathon

-Already planning to run a race next weekend? Me too! That’s ok you can “double dip” by running 2 races at the same time! When can you say you’ve ever done that??

-It doesn’t matter if you walk or run or do a little of both. Everything counts! Doing a “virtual” allows you to get support and instant cheers from all of the other women who are rocking their skirts next weekend. It also gives you an opportunity to try a new distance without the pressure of an actual race.

How much does it cost?

For me this was the selling point.

So when you register you get a skirt or a tank (your choice) plus a gift certificate for either $50 or $100 to get another skirt/tank or anything else from their store plus a gift bag with a couple of samples. Mine also came with yet another 15% off coupon to use on a future order.

Wait there’s more…Here’s a coupon for another 25% off the virtual run  use code RUNNER25

BOTTOM LINE- with the 25% you are paying $63.75 or $86.25 for a finisher’s skirt or tank, goody bag gift certificate for $50 or $100 towards a future purchase and off course Bragging Rights!!

Show off your feminine style while running!

Who wants to join me? Virtually of course!
