Hope everyone had a relaxing and meaningful Thanksgiving. Staying on track during the holidays is not always easy but it can be done. Knowing I am writing the Weekly Wrap helps me stay accountable and motivated. Joining in with Hoho and Wendy to share my week of Thanksgiving Happenings.
Weekly Wrap Thanksgiving Happenings
Sunday- Rest day
Drove back from Philly and headed home to meet our kids who arrived from home from college. Sitting in the car driving is the worst the day after a race. All kinds of stiffness going on. I realized I have not yet done my Philly Half recap. Coming this week I hope.
Monday- 60 m stretching and upper body, 2 mile walk + massage
Had a nice stretch from my trainer and did a little upper body exercises. Met up with a friend for a quick 2 mile walk and catch up before heading over to get a much needed massage.
Tuesday- Walking coffee date + 60 m hot yoga
Still in recovery mode. The crew and I took a walk to a local coffee shop to stretch out our legs. Later did a challenging hot yoga class and walked 2 miles home. Feeling stretched out and back to normal.
Wednesday- 90 m strength training and kickboxing
Finally feeling ready to get back to my normal workouts today. Spent the rest of the day setting up tables and finding all of my platters and serving pieces.
Thursday-Thanksgiving 4 mile morning run
Opted to sleep in a bit and skip the turkey trot this year. Ran in the neighborhood to burn off some crazy before heading home to cook and prepare. We hosted 12 people and as much as you do in advance it is always a mad hustle at the end. Up super late cleaning up-the worst part. So glad to get this family photo in before the other guests arrived and we forgot.
Friday- hot yoga 60m
Perfect post Thanksgiving activity. Still kind of tired from the night before and lots of clean up to get everything back where it goes. There may have been a little Black Friday on line shopping but I did not find too many things that seemed like a great deal.

Saturday- 4 mile run
Slept in a bit and did a later run before the crazy cold rain started.
The best part of this Thanksgiving happenings week was having my kids home again. I just love it when they are home in their beds. It’s the little things like sitting on the couch together watching college football that makes my heart so happy and full. What was the best part of your Thanksgiving week? Did you host dinner?
