I knew this week would be challenging coming back from Italy early Sunday morning. The jet lag hit hard and I was up all night for the first few nights which gave me lots of time to start doing laundry. LOL I did my best to follow my own tips and get right back in gear with my schedule.
Weekly Wrap Back in Gear
Sunday-unpacking and packing
We got home about 1 am Sunday morning and I started doing laundry. My son had about 8 hours to wash all his stuff, pack up and get ready to go to overnight camp for 7 weeks. Yup that’s how we roll! He is counselor this year so at least I will get to see him a few times.
Monday- 30 m elliptical, 60 min weights, 10 mile bike ride
I was ready to hit it hard today and get back at my regular schedule. Even though, the jet lag gave me a poor night’s sleep, I was ready to go.
Tuesday- 3.5 mile run + 60 m yoga class
Ok this was awful from the start. Our attempt at running early to avoid the scorching heat did not really help much. I was very sluggish and just not liking this run at all.
Wednesday- 90 min kickboxing and strength training
Felt so good to get my sweat on today! Love my Wednesday workouts with my trainer.
Thursday- 3 mile run/ walk
I was feeling so defeated on this run. I am really having such a hard time adapting to the humidity right now. I was completely wiped the rest of the day and pretty much moped around feeling sorry for myself.
Friday- Swim class 2000m
I thought for sure they would cancel class due to the heavy rain but since there was no thunder, we were on. We had the pool to ourselves and it felt great!
Took advantage of the misty rain this morning & headed out for a bike + run. The rain helped keep me cooler on the run for sure. Saturday- 10 mile bike ride +1.25 mile run + hot yoga
Woke up to a misty, rainy morning and decided it was a good day to try a bike run brick. The bike went really well. The run was still slow and meh but not as terrible as last time.
Oh and did I mention we had 2 Israeli exchange students staying with us this week?! We took them to their first hot yoga class and have been exposing them to all of our bad American habits.
